OASIS_LAD 05-23-2007, 10:50 AM Liverpool 2-1 with them scoring the winner late into extra-time. MickyHatton 05-23-2007, 10:53 AM Liverpool 2-1 with them scoring the winner late into extra-time. Woooot! Cheers OL! BTW following the mutual appreciation theme here, I watched a cracking documentary on Jinky last night mate, what a player he was, cant believe he nearly joined Man Utd, imagine Jinky, Best, Charlton and Law!!! The Raging Bull 05-23-2007, 10:53 AM My jammy ****in cousin is over there now. He's a part time supporter who only takes a interest in games like this. I'm a full time fan and there's no way for me to go. :( MickyHatton 05-23-2007, 10:57 AM My jammy ****in cousin is over there now. He's a part time supporter who only takes a interest in games like this. I'm a full time fan and there's no way for me to go. :( It was a toss up between taking the trip without a ticket or booking my hols to The Dom Republic. Picked the holiday only becuase I didn't have a ticket for me and the missus, if I had a ticket the holiday would have been in Blackpool! OASIS_LAD 05-23-2007, 11:01 AM Woooot! Cheers OL! BTW following the mutual appreciation theme here, I watched a cracking documentary on Jinky last night mate, what a player he was, cant believe he nearly joined Man Utd, imagine Jinky, Best, Charlton and Law!!! That's an astonishing group of players. He would surely be more well known on a global stage if he had made the switch and would be revered as much as the Laws and Bests of this world. The Raging Bull 05-23-2007, 11:02 AM It was a toss up between taking the trip without a ticket or booking my hols to The Dom Republic. Picked the holiday only becuase I didn't have a ticket for me and the missus, if I had a ticket the holiday would have been in Blackpool! Bet that pulled on your heart a bit :lol1: You made the right choice though I think! MickyHatton 05-23-2007, 11:06 AM That's an astonishing group of players. He would surely be more well known on a global stage if he had made the switch and would be revered as much as the Laws and Bests of this world. Yep, he was certainly a world class player and its hard to understand why he hasn't received the recognition after all he was one of the Lisbon Lions and he played for a very good Scotland side! Great, great player, we would be worth 30 mil plus in today's money! Likely_Lad 05-23-2007, 11:08 AM Cannot believe I'm not going! Hey hey Micky boy! Big night mate! Where are you watching it? MickyHatton 05-23-2007, 11:11 AM Hey hey Micky boy! Big night mate! Where are you watching it? **** me the wanderer returns, how was Ohio mate? The missus is working. Feel free to come here mate, plenty of ale and food, you can kip on the couch! Likely_Lad 05-23-2007, 11:35 AM Feel free to come here mate, plenty of ale and food, you can kip on the couch! ****in right, I'll have a couple of hours kip and hit the road. I'll give you a call! MickyHatton 05-23-2007, 11:35 AM ****in right, I'll have a couple of hours kip and hit the road. I'll give you a call! Lol, Ok!!! the giant one 05-23-2007, 02:33 PM Im nervous as hell about this match. Do you think Kaka is going to draw double teams all nightor will Benitez risk matchign him one on one with Mascherano? Kayjay's Ghost 05-23-2007, 02:38 PM They've ruled out man-marking. Kaka will not knife through the middle like he did in both legs against United. Mickey, you got it straightened out now? You certainly have never seen me box. the giant one 05-23-2007, 03:05 PM looks like a 4-5-1 of sorts for liverpool. kuyt is playing up front alone but gerrard is playing a more forward role basically right behind him the giant one 05-23-2007, 03:58 PM Pennant is having a good run early on the right hand side. Liaison 05-23-2007, 04:33 PM Oh dear.... the giant one 05-23-2007, 04:35 PM ****! 1-0 milan at the half. Liverpool had a couple of good chances too and couldnt come through amaru 05-23-2007, 04:41 PM we dont deserve to be behind!!! we have come back from 3 goals down before, i still have faith!!! come on liverpool!!!!! OptimusWolf 05-23-2007, 05:38 PM Feel sorry for you guys, Liverpool probably just about shaded this game but lost - ironic given what happened in Istanbul. I think Liverpool suffered from a lack of a top striker (again) and Agger's inexperience (I think this season was too soon for him to be playing for pool). But the midfield bested Milan in a game where it was clear that these guys were 3rd and 4th in their respective leagues. Oh well, the playoffs then we say goodbye to 2006/07, a pretty good season all round. the giant one 05-23-2007, 05:40 PM ref sucked in this game. Still LIverpool had their chance to seize it in the first half and didnt. Congrats to Milan OptimusWolf 05-23-2007, 05:45 PM yep the ref was poor, although as it turned out the big decisions were correct and he didn't change the game that much. Milan were poor for the most part. Tuggers1986 05-23-2007, 05:49 PM Pennant was good on the right but Milan did deserve to win. I said Milan 2-1 earlier today. wish i'd put some money on it now Chris46 05-23-2007, 05:56 PM This loss has put me off sport as a whole MickyHatton 05-23-2007, 06:05 PM Pennant was good on the right but Milan did deserve to win. I said Milan 2-1 earlier today. wish i'd put some money on it now Not sure which game you watched mate, Liverpool bossed the game, possession and tempo but as OW said we lacked a top striker! I had three Manc fans here tonight, they all agreed the best team lost but that's football, on to next season. I hope Milan can look themselves in the eye in the mirror and feel proud of their performance! MickyHatton 05-23-2007, 06:06 PM Not sure which game you watched mate, Liverpool bossed the game, possession and tempo but as OW said we lacked a top striker! I had three Manc fans here tonight, they all agreed the best team lost but that's football, on to next season. I hope Milan can look themselves in the eye in the mirror and feel proud of their performance! I'm now going out to get smashed! Kayjay's Ghost 05-23-2007, 06:07 PM I'm drunk and near tears, so I won't say much except that thew Reds were the better team today. Let's accept this in return for 2005 when milan were honestly the best team in Europe. Gerrard, Alonso, Pennant and several others showed their class. Next year will be another story. Kayjay's Ghost 05-23-2007, 06:10 PM Liverpool are big. I watched in a pub in KY, USA, and I tell you there were near a hundred Reds supporters in the house today. The Raging Bull 05-24-2007, 01:25 PM ****, that hurt. vBulletin® v3.7.1, Copyright ©2000-2008, Jelsoft Enterprises Ltd.
