I liked the movie. More than Gettysburg even.

That being said I think watching a 3 and a half hour movie in a theatre is too much for me these days. I just can't hack it anymore like I used to.

I would recommend to anyone who is into this kind of flick to wait till it hits the rental scene and watch it in instalments on a Sunday afternoon(not during football season of course:devil ). That way you avoid hearing the tired kid complaining or the amateur historian sitting behind you explaining every god damn scene to his girlfriend, etc...

All in all worth it for the fight scenes(duh no kidding!) and if you aren't into the interpersonal dialogue and character building scenes you can still enjoy the movie by skipping these.

Well according to some, the industrialists who financed the Union were gangsters and racketeers.

Maybe there is something for you there?

Although I must stress DMX does NOT have a role in the film so it may be too soft for hardcore playaz like you.

I look foreward to renting this movie. I heard it is the best civil was movie ever!
