danny stash 05-21-2007, 09:34 AM in wrestling we used to work the neck every day. You lay on the your head with your hands behind your back almost in a pushup position but with your head on the ground and just roll you head slowly to build the muscles using your own body weight..good stuff

Discipline... and no you can't starve yaself because then you will be weak in training and sparring.. that would just hurt yourself.
Try eating all your dinner at 4 oclock.. maybe a yogurt around 8 b4 bed... and thats it.
And heres one HUGE factor. LOTS OF WATER.

At first probably 3 times a week with 48 hours between neck training sessions. Neck training should be slow and careful. Neck injuries are very easy to get but not so easy to heal. It will be many months before your neck is ready for the high stress training.
boxing4ever 05-21-2007, 03:11 PM i have a neck developer and i only throw on it one 5 pound plate! can someone tell me or get footage of someone doing them the right way and what to do and what not to do i have only worked out with it once because im afraid ill **** up my neck

just want to remind you guys to look up some of my old posts here. i had some tips in response to training the neck some time ago.
and rossboxing is definitely a pretty good place to get some ideas for training. haven't checked out that website for a couple of years but it was good last time i checked. however, it is still a better idea to get personal instruction before trying anything that you have no prior experience in. and it is always good to come on here and compare notes of course.
