Just like when I introduced those badass looking Twins gloves from Thailand, Im introducing some badass lookin custom mouthpieces cause I havent seen anyone here bringing it up. You can get ANY design you want on them and have them whatever color etc etc, and they are a better quality than the regular boil and bites you get at the store. Heres some pictures of some...

The people that I think make the two best looking ones are here...

theres also some others like smartguards and gladiator but protech seems to be considered the best. I dont know much about guard ya grills though but they look insane.

I plan on getting one soon

i want one...i was gonna buy one...

but there is no place on either site where you can go through the guards and no prices. There isn't even a shop part. How do they expect to sell these things!?

Bah, i'll go look elsewhere on the net.

protech has the price page and everything, you can order from them. I dont think the other does though.

That'd be clean as hell to get your nickname across your mouthpiece.

They should sell more flag type mouthpieces, I'd buy a mexico flag colored mouthpiece since I am hispanic.

I like the fang ones, makes you look all scary. Either that or i'd have the English flag.... what would be really cool if you could get a pirate jolly roger mouthguard. All black but with white skull and cross bones right in the middle of your guard.

Gladiator mouthguards 50.00 to 70.00, I know, I own the company and there is no difference in the protective Quality of the guardsfrom any of the companies listed. The only difference is in how much customization each is willing to do protech does outrageous designs that Gladiator won't do we will however do simple designs at affodable price and B-Hop has never complained. We just started his new one for his next fight.

well you may want to see all these, two of the ones reviewing your mouthpieces say they like them but complain that the back molars are missing. Also, all the ones comparing Gladiator vs Protech side with Protech as hands down better quality.

Plus just looking at pics Protechs seem better. I have no experience with either so I cant really say, but yours seem thinner... you can see the teeth bumps on the outside their so thin.

even Gladiators thinnest 2 layer mouthguard is over 4mm thick the exact thickness that provides max comfort and max protection, you see the "teeth bumps" because we press at very high lbs. per square inch, to make them fit tight. Any side by side comparison has only delt with cosmetics and yes Protech does customization we are not willing to do but they also cost double what a Gladiator does and protech takes months we take 10 days.If you asked me smartguards has nicer graphics than protech. We all use the same process so there is little or no difference in protective quality.

Guardyagrill makes by far the best protective mouth pieces around. Ryan Salazar, who is the owner of www.guradyagrill.com is an innovator and mad genious when it comes to protecting your teeth.

That is so untrue!

Who makes the molds of your clients?? You dental assistance??
When you take their molds, do you have them sitting down or standing?? There are so may variables that goes to not only designing, but getting the correct fit.

Our molds are made by the end user we use no dental professionals that is why Gladiators prices are so low, and generally speaking the companies mentioned all make a type IV heat and pressure laminated mouthguard and I have dozens of university studies that say these are the most protective and there is little that can be done to increase the protective value of a properly made type IV mouthguard. I have been in the dental profession for over 30 years what is your claim to so much knowlege?

The sad thing is that you're a professional for 30 some years and you are pedaling some crappy gill guards. I would better trust a custom fitted mold vs. some factory made model to protect my mouth against impact. $160 - $200 doallars is a much better price than paying thousand's of dollars to have ones' teeth fixed due to using inadequate equipment.

just found this interesting read http://www.protechmouthguard.com

ofcourse you are gonna try to throw dirt on your main competitor. For all I know you wrote that.

If your mouthguards are so good how come there isnt more pictures to show off. Put some pics up and maybe Ill get one from you cause Im lookin to get one, the thing bothering me is that I dont like how you can see the teeth on yours, and there is very limited customization. For example I was thinkin of one design with half of it green and half of it red and I cant even do that. I was plannin on getting two one for competition and one for sparring.

if you need pictures I'll post B-Hops new guard when its done and a second guard from Gladiator is half off retail so 50 to 80 first 25-40 second guard, check the video of the B-Hop, golden boy fight after fight video B-Hop is wearing our hat. Half green and half red is no problem. If B-Hop trust us u can't?

I agree with you that mouth-guards should be pressure laminated due to the anterior teeth. However, I disagree with you about not being able to increasing the 'protective value' of a type IV mouth-guard. According to literature mouth gurards should be articulated. The only way to articulate (please google -"articulated mouth-guards") properly with the opposing model is to take a construction bite. A construction bite can only be taken by a "competent license dental professional". With a construction bite and an opposing model you can further advance the design of a type IV mouth-guard. Often times individuals gain confidence by the number of years of experience in the chosen profession they pursue. Unfortunately, doing the same thing over and over again does not show that your product has any competency. Experience comes from making mistakes, you would know this if you start to attempt to articulate your mouth guards. Thus increasing your confidence to better fabricate "professional mouth guards".

In other words, be an innovator!

yeah, but they cost around $250 -$300 bucks man, thats crazy.

Icedog, I went to order from you today and I accidentally ordered from smartguards. I figured Id buy from you cause it would be easier and quicker, plus I kinda figured out that some of the guards with teeth bumps might not be the thickest you make. So I went to the site and thought it was new, the layout seemed differant but the mouthpieces look the same. I called in (almost made a reference to this thread but didnt cause I didnt wanna chance you releasing my info) and placed an order and then released it was a differant site. I never even went to smartguards before. oops I guess I got mixed up with customguards and smartguards. Atleast I didnt go with your arch nemesis though.

and palma you said something earlier about their being a differance in the bite if youre sittin down or standing up, elaborate on that for me, should I be standing or sitting down when i make my mold? Normally when I fit my boil and bites I stand.

these guys make guards for hopkins. they just shipped him his guard for the pavlik fight. i callem 'em today. he gets a different one for each fight to match his trunks/goves/boots. its always says Bernard Hopkins vs "opponents name" and the date of the fight inside. Bernard used to use a double for added protection, but decided these were just as good and allowed for better breathing. many other athletes use this company too.

Terrell Owens got one made with real diamonds. A true grille/mouthguard. T.O. is also an idiot....
