I'd go with Holy vs Qawi I, but Toney Vs Jirov is the best I've seen for years oh and just about anything with the Cat in too

I have a special appreciation for the first Chris Eubank / Carl Thompson fight. True, the quality of Holyfield vs Quawi was more so butrt the fact that Eubank jumped up from supermiddleweight to crusier in one shot and put up such a great show swings it for me. What a fight!

Check out Thompson/Sellers. Something like 7 knockdowns in 4 rounds with both guys going down and ending with a brutal one punch KO from Sellers.

Holyfield vs Qawi 1.

Absolutely! Alot of these younger fan's dont realize that the cruiser's have been around a while, and long before there was Toney and Jirov there was Holyfield...the king of the cruisers! If they could see some of his old fight's at that weight, they might look at todays picks a little differently. It's impossible to pick a "best crusier wt. fight ever" and not have Holyfield in it.

The first fight between defending champion Dwight Qawi and challenger Evander Holyfield. That was back when they were REAL fights that were scheduled for 15 rounds. It was a brutal affair. Qawi deserved to be inducted into the Hall Of Fame. His only setbacks during his championship prime were to all time greats Michael Spinks at 175 and Holyfield at cruiser.

Toney-Jirov was a great fight but to me a distant second to Qawi-Holyfield I.

To me the biggest upset in a cruiserweight title fight was when S.T.Gordon bombed out a shell shocked defending champion Carlos DeLeon in two rounds. It was a massacre. When they met again a more on the ball DeLeon handled Gordon easily.

DeLeon is one of top five cruiserweights since the division was created.
