from ufc.tv

Vladimir Matyushenko: "It would be a good fight for both of us. For me, because it could bring me the title, and for him because I promise not to kill him."

Gan McGee: "I think Tank's record in the new UFC will speak for itself."

Frank Mir: “I feel very confident that if Tank makes a mistake that I will submit him. Tank needs to try to hit me a lot but stay safe because if he opens himself up there will be a submission. I’ve submitted people that I was not supposed to be able to submit before. We’ll see.”

Ricco Rodriguez: "Tank who? All I know is he is a disrespectful, fat slob. I have no respect for him because he is the most unprofessional athlete I have seen in my life, if you can consider him an athlete. How can Tank come and disrespect the UFC heavyweight division when he's never won a UFC title? He thinks he's going to beat me? I don't think he is going to beat anybody in the UFC. The UFC isn't handing him a free fight. I think Frank Mir is going to walk right through him. I think Frank will beat him in two minutes."

Matt Serra: "I think it’s fun. If he’s in shape and he’s been training, who knows? Even if he did drink the week before, he always adds a little bit of fun to the game. It’s good to have that. It would be great if he trained properly and did the right thing. He’s a funny guy. It should be fun. They should have him do some more commentary. I was always a big fan of his commentary."

Pedro Rizzo: "He's a big star and one of the first fighters. He deserves to be there. The crowd loves him.”

Tim Sylvia: "If everything goes right, I win and he wins, I’d like to fight him. I don’t think he’s an athlete. He never has been and never will be. I’m disappointed to see him come back. He didn’t have anything back when he was in the UFC before. He just runs his mouth too much. I think he’s bad for the sport. He seemed to cause trouble back then, and I’m sure it’s going to be the same now. He already started off running off his mouth, giving Tito a bunch of crap. MFS and Team Punishment may have some problems, but Tito’s the man. He deserves all the respect in the ring. Tank has no reason to come back and start giving him crap when he hasn’t even fought. It might be a publicity thing too, which makes the sport grow. If that’s what it is... That’s what it is. Tank... I don’t think he belongs."

Saw this last night, very interesting. Doesn't seem like to many guys are happy about Tank's return. The fight will speak for itself though. I like Mir, and I hope he wins, but I have this feeling that Tank is going K him TFO.

I am not really surprised at this.

Tank would be getting good dollars to fight again, while guys that have trained and stayed in the UFC regardless and not jumped ship to WCW of all places, would still be getting less money.

Tank brings the crowds, which is good. Hopefully the other fighters can make them stay

i agree 100% with the following:
(in specific order)

1) Matt Serra- i agree that the crowd loves him, he did fight from back in the day, and whether it is to see him get beat or win.... the crowd wants to see someone go down. if it is him.. then it is an og from back in the days that needs to think about retirement. But if he can do it... more power to him.

2) Ricco Rodriguez- agreed here for the fact that tank has no room to talk about how the heavyweight division is nothing when he has never worn a belt. He is the most unproffessional athlete in the game..... if you want to call him an athlete... sure he gets in there and does the job... well used to. In my honest opinion... the athletes of today took away that "athlete" title from back then. The athletes are getting 100% better and better and more well rounded and even more crucial........ MORE COMPETETIVE. So to act is if he can walk through the fighters of today is just plain bullshit. And as well, I believe Mir is gonna walk right through him.

3) Tim Sylvia- well he just hits the nail on the head here. all bullshit aside.... that is the real deal. if its all publicity (which there is no doubt in my mind that it is) ...... then so be it.
