I know it's been done already, but I'm giving a friend a "best of" mix cd of my top ten favorite MC's for a graduation gift.

in no order:

Cage, MF DOOM, Rakim, Nas, Pharoahe Monch, Masta Ace, B-Real, Cee-Lo, Chino XL, Black Thought.

honorable mentions to Everlast, Gza,both Swollen Members Tame One and Mr. Lif.

sittin on chrome was a bonafide classic, so slept on though.... with all that east-west bull****, ace dropped an album both would have loved. still i think it was his best selling album....

I liked Slaughtahouse better. More consistant imo, and some copies also had my favorite song of all time, which of course is:

Actually Fiddy isn't even in my top 40

I wish he had tried to hit back in 94' when Biggie Nas and Common first dropped and Wu Tang was still a force in the industry. People would have thought it was some kind of joke.
