They're too thin and will break a nose or jaw. Get the ringside gloves. Thats we we use at my gym. Also, we use reyes gloves. Everlast products are **** for the most part. I have those gloves in both 14 and 16 oz and they wear down quickly, but they are meant for the bag. deh707 05-13-2007, 08:06 PM those are everlasts cheap line of gloves, which can be found in almost any sports store. http://store.everlastboxing.com/training-gloves.html the "high performance" is the cheap ones. the "professional" is the real everlast. boxing4ever 05-13-2007, 08:09 PM get the everlast pro training glove there great i have them in 16oz and spar with them and there awsome Animal Squabbs 05-13-2007, 08:28 PM These are my current sparring gloves... http://i139.photobucket.com/albums/q283/animalsquabbs/trainingpluspride041.jpg 16oz, soft as pillows, light, you can almost make a closed fist, no time wasting laces just slip them on and spar which is great if you dont have a trainer like me. I recomend them. They only cost me around $50 bucks. You can order the same glove with all kinds of designs from www.muaythaistuff.com DoctorKillJoy 05-14-2007, 10:43 AM would these do the job http://www.boxingdepot.com/bx-gl-40.html Those are passable. I've got the 16 ounce and actually paid more to get them at a sportinggoods store. They're fine for bagwork, sparring, etc... they're not bag gloves like someone said. If you're going to spar with them just make sure you get 14 or 16 ounces. The only thing is they're not real high quality. I'm not sure how long most gloves last but I've only had mine around 4 or 5 months and they're falling apart. I'd say they're a decent first pair though. I just ordered the safety training gloves from ringside for i think 40 + shipping... i've heard they're good but i don't know yet. |
