Is it possible to hurt yur ribbs from all those throws? I took some Judo classes, and one of my ribbs was hurt the next day before the last class, I just touched it and it hurt, strange kind of pain.

Well Id just like to ask if its possible, I didnt lkand on my stomach or anyhting, only around the back, but is possible, anybody has any idea?

I thought about it, maybe its because of when I was pinned to the ground to long. That would be a good explanation.

ANybody has any ideas? Thx.

If your really skilled in your falling, and breaking fall techniques you should be alright, but still sometimes a forceful throw would leave me with a bruise or two on my side with soreness to go along with it.

I haven't had any back and side pain from throws. But my shoulders get sore as hell from throwing when I train alot of throws in one day.

Your ribs run all acros your upper body, not just on the front so if you call on your back you can very well hurt your ribs!

on this pic you can see that your ribs run all the way to you spine... My guess about what happened to you is that you fell on your back which cause your ribcage to move forward and that hurt the muscles that are attached to the front of your ribcage....... I do jiujitsu and I sometimes have it as well!
