iv been boxing for ages now but my mate said the end of june is the end of season for boxing till augest @ his gym iv never never heard of this before does this happen? cus the place i go we box all year round

I know British amateur season pretty much follows the football season.

Theres is no off season in boxing.

My gym is over for a month i think but thats ok cause im away for the month its off. Il be going for jogs in America in the extreme heat compared to here in Britian, ill be sooo much fitter an everyone else when i get back lol. I hope to get into a few boxing gyms in america aswell and see what there like!

i have heard my trainers speak of boxing seasons aswell,its true the in the uk although i dont think boxing matches completely stop when its "out of season" its just more active and more competitions etc. when its in season (like a horny peacock)

I'm sure clubs do inter-club matches and exhibitions and stuff to keep fighter honed.

I only meant the British ABA which have an off season. Pro-boxing doesn't of course.
