I lived by my-self all my high school years ( my parents remodel hotels and are always on the road) so I would house sit,mom + dads house,uncles,etc... so it was always a part at my crib. Skipping class for no reason is stupid,but for some ass. Well worth it,not to brag and I am glad I never got anything,in the short trem of sex that I went thorught,15-19yrs old ,4 years period before I got married,I was with more woman that I can count on hands and toes,nothing to really be proud of but scaring to a point. In other words, religion is a panacea. Some people find comfort in their failures in a preist the same way they do a psychiatrist. People drink alcohol, find religion, visit a head shrink, get plastic surgery all for the same reason. To feel better about themselves. It's usually all about selfishness and self loathing. Sometimes the crutch is religion. Other times the crutch is a drug. Religion is no more a "truth" to one's problems than intoxication. It's feel good medicine for the weak.

People kill and have wars all the time, and always need a reason for it. To blame the actual worshipping is wrong; blame the idiots that need a label. When it comes to colonization of any country or group of people, the tool that is always used is religion. Why? Because it creates a control group. You confuse what I mean by religion. That's why in my post I capitalized this word, "ORGANIZED."

If you don't believe religion kills, check out the history of the Church and its sanctioned murder of Greeks and Romans. And how today's Church excuses the molestation of children by perverted old priests.

ORGANIZED religion -- meaning the bastardized form of true belief by humans with an agenda -- in this world is no different than a peer pressure group in high school. You don't act on belief. You're swayed by custom. The same things believers accuse non believers of -- going along with your peers because it's the "in" thing -- is like the pot calling the kettle black. Religion, in its truest form, is rarely practiced. And let's not get into what's proven to be fact and fiction with the Bible. If there WERE hard, scientific and concrete facts validating a religous doctrine, then we would all be subject to uniformity. But mankind was blessed with free will and choice. It's in our nature and therefore we would always be bound by conflicting views and opinions. Just like here in this forum, how people can see a fight one way, another can see it totally opposite.
