Did anyone see Real Sports yesterday? If you didn't you missed a great interview with Johnny Tapia. About 2-3 weeks ago, he was clinicly dead but was brought back to life, using life support for 1 1/2 days. He talked about his life, and i really felt bad for the guy. His mom was rapped and stabbed 32 times i believe he said that, when he wa a young boy. He never had a father and grew up with his grandparents. Well the story goes on, that he had and still has a cocaine addiction and has been in rehap 12 TIMES. He was very emotional throught the interview, really when the subject came up with his mom and his family. If anyone knows or watches boxing it's hard to not like Tapia because he is a warrior and i just love to see him box (i didn't like his last performance against Barrera <sp>)Anyway, enough babbling, check out the interview, its really good.

I like tapia too. Good fighter. I hope he gets that monkey off his back. I here that a severe cocaine addiction is a real bitch to beat.

He is a likable guy. A pretty good technician too. I'm sure he'll beat it one way or another. He seems like a warrior in every sense of the word.

Tapia seems to be a very hard hitter for his weight class too. I haven't seen any of his fights in years but I remember he threw with a lot of zip.

Hope he can get his act together.
