I beat tap out in less than 8 hours. Throwdown gave me problem with carear mode but i destroyed the game fast.

so what do you think?

i suck at video games but i'd suggest renting it first or waiting on more opinions

it's so so.the controls are exactly like throwdown.it's fun so far but i wish i would have waited till it was down to 19.99 which probably won't be that long.

Nice Save

Video games aren't advanced enough to have cool MMA games yet. Just like baseball, the only good baseball game ever was baseball stars for Nintendo about 15 years ago. There's too many little movements and nuances to make a good mma game.

Actually, the MMA games made so far are amazing by video game standards. The game shouldn't be judged by hardcore fans of the sport, but by the casual fan.

Hardcore fans of a sport want too much. If its not perfect, its a waste of time.

The trust test of a game should be if its fun to play if you only have a passing interest in the genre.

The only sport that truly seems to of aproched being perfect is football, so don't complain.

Tapout 2 looks to be a good game. I enjoyed Tapout 1 A LOT, even without a lot of options.

Tapout with a career mode and training is going to keep me playing for months on end

i won the Grand Prix with the following strategy with Nogueira..opponent doesn't matter

1.) triangle-square-triangle-circle or x

2.) step back and circle around

3.) repeat step 1

4.) repeat 1-3 as necessary

5.) square+x for the takedown, getting mount is pretty much guaranteed but sometimes you get guard
5a.) if you land in guard, hit triangle+circle and you get sidecontrol, attempt kimura then get mount

6.) once in mount hit square+x, if armbar attempt fails you regain mount 90% of the time

7.) repeat 6 until armbar is successful

by accident you may get mounted, just tap square+x every once in awhile for the reversal, you will get their guard and refer back to 5a.


now to try to win with wanderlei or igor.

edit - when mounted, square+x with nogueira is a guillotine attempt, just keep doing it until successful.

earlier i KO'ed my friend like 7 times straight with nothing but low kicks.

How can you ko with leg kicks. You can tap because your knee is ****ed, but KO that's not cool..

low kicks tear **** up on the vitality bar. do you have it yet? i'm about to turn the life bar **** off.

No I don't have it but if it's from a leg kick you have to tap man. When the bar reaches zero from a leg kick, tap.

can you play cpu vs cpu?

yeah thats about the only entertaining about it

yea i made a fighter, its cool, but you can make the best fighter in the world.

i gave him 10(highest) on his punches, kickes, about a 4 on submissions.

its hard to explain how its setup, you have to go through and choose what the fighter will do in certain positions. like when mounted, to reverse the mount you either hit SQUARE+X or TRIANGLE+CIRCLE. you have to choose what he will do when you hit either combination. if you set one to attempt a guillotine while mounted and the other a reversal, max out stand up. you'll hardly ever lose.

curly, you might like it, i don't. i didn't expect much out of it i just wanted it.

and i know royce has great ground skills, but he doesn't have world class takedowns like this game seems to think he does.

Better A.i is what the game needs unless cesaro is playing on super easy mode.

i haven't changed the modes yet, i'm just disappointed.

i checked, it was on normal.

Have been reading some comments about it on Sherdogs, and some of the crowd over there ****en love it. They say the characters custome moves are awesome and the create a fighter rocks...guess I will have to rent it first
