View Full Version : Mayweather Dominates De la Hoya
FlaminGuru 05-06-2007, 01:01 AM Thank God i had PPv for free, i was thinking of this fight to be one of the best
but it wasn't. The damn undercards were much entertaining!
and now Mayweather is retiring, as he said to the spokespersons.
I wanna see him fight Shane Mosely, Miguel Cotto, and those guys, i know
for sure Mayweather couldnt' be undefeated. No one will ever beat Marciano's
record!
slipthejab 05-06-2007, 01:20 AM I can't say I agree that he dominated the fight. But his conditioning allowed him to step it up in the later rounds to take the fight.
TRANSWARP 05-06-2007, 01:32 AM Dominating my foot, most of his punches were caught on oscars gloves.
Aaron K 05-06-2007, 01:33 AM nah he didn't dominate oscar, just beat him.
plhare 05-06-2007, 02:15 AM MOre like dominated rounds 5-6 and 9-11. Oscar didn't jab, so end of story. DLH knows he screwed up.
rghaynes 05-06-2007, 02:27 AM Is that what you ar worried about marcino's record..the bum who fought old men...Please get a life
Undefeated 05-06-2007, 03:03 AM Dominated my ass. This thread needs to be deleted or renamed. It's an insult. The fight was good. No complaints here.
Ramamaiden 05-06-2007, 03:23 AM he won but didnt dominate.
and how the hell was juarez - hernandez more entertaining than dlh - pbf???
that undercard was horrible, the worst fight ive seen with the urango - hatton fight.
.::|ULTIMATE|::. 05-06-2007, 04:17 AM HAHAHAHA I dont know about dominate, and I agree this fight wasnt that great but i expected that and i also only watched it cus it was free,
caezar_stig 05-06-2007, 06:24 AM i have seen the fight and i can't believe the running chicken mayweather was called pound for pound best of the world. I hate floyd!! he is a ugly monkey who likes to run away he might as well have been a track athlete and joined the olympics not boxing what a little sissy
ironchin 05-06-2007, 07:09 AM People expected more and Flyod knows that he ran his mouth so much im a ice that fool its gonna be a massacre wasnt really a good fight and the undercards were better
Oasis_Lad 05-06-2007, 07:50 AM The Mods better start getting tough on all these alts popping up just to say Mayweather "Dominated" when it was an extremely close fight.
adietheforestfa 05-06-2007, 08:23 AM DLH won by 2 points for me. PBF hit Oscars gloves most of time and didnt do enough for me. The Judge that scored PBF winning by 4 rounds was way off. IMO
bilrokz 05-06-2007, 08:42 AM you have to beat the champion, no domination, could have gone either way.
oscar just did,t do enough to beat floyd jr. enough said.
*AKO PA HA! 05-06-2007, 09:34 AM dominate! how can mayweather dominate if he run all night long.lol!
Joartcc3 05-06-2007, 01:26 PM you have to beat the champion, no domination, could have gone either way.
oscar just did,t do enough to beat floyd jr. enough said.
PBF ran like a complete coward against a guy who's almost retired.
Now is that a worthy champ?
Wake up dude. I was right when I said PBF was a fake. And this fight showed it.
Ambski 05-06-2007, 03:09 PM Well, what a night!
I scored it live 115-115 on the night. Thought Oscar did the better work but simply ran out of gas in the final third of the fight.
I wouldn't have any arguments with a close score either way.
heavy hands 05-06-2007, 05:18 PM I don't like floyd,but he won the fight 7 rounds to 5.
Peder 05-07-2007, 07:07 AM I had it 116-114 DLH.
Close fight.
Dominated??? No way.
mick r 05-07-2007, 08:13 AM mayweather is the most over rated american fighter since roy jones. never in a million years would he have taken this fight. over the years he has ducked potentially career defining fights with barrera, hamed, pac man, ricky hatton, marquez....the list just goes on. his record is padded with fighters like judah who LOOK more impressive than they really ARE. (he wanted nothing to do with judah until hatton had softened him up first).
hed be lucky to make the tope TEN pound for pund in a sane world. the mans got skills but too much brains and no guts. hatton would hand him his head on a plate.
in my opinion! : )
The Raging Bull 05-07-2007, 08:15 AM 115-113 is what I scored and that's not domination!
By the way, I gave the decision to Floyd.
