Today I drank two beers at the student pub. I have no will power and will never be a fighter. It ends a run of 40 days with no booze at all.

Well stop drinking then!

Nah seriously, post what your daily diet is and I will try and help ya out.

Also give your current height and weight. That will help so we can set some realistic targets.

When do you need to be 205 by?

So we're talking about dropping you 30lb in approximately 6 months?

That is a very reasonable target.

You can average a reasonable weight loss of, tops, 2lb per week. Any more than that and chances are you are losing muscle as well as a lot of water.

Focus on cardio work in the morning, any weight training and fight training you do in the evenings. Morning is the best time to do cardio as it increases your metabolism for the entire day and will maximise your fat burning results.

Whats your diet? Give us a rundown what you eat in a day (or just PM me if u don't want to post it here).

From your posts, I get the impression you train a lot but I suspect it's your diet that is failing (99% of all people who train and don't lose weight fall into this category).

hey jake any idea of converting body fat into muscle without gaining weight? i got alotta excess baby fat around my torso and have skinny arms and skinny legs. I wanna try and cut all that fat out and put some muscle on my arms and legs while losing about 2 pounds. Possible within a month or so?

You could eat and drink anything you want and still lose weight so long as you remember to throw up afterwards. You would probably also lose weight if you cut out solid foods entirely and stuck with just beer. OR you may also want to consider hitting the crack pipe. There are many alternatives to sensible eating and a good exercise program.

That's really bad advice Twista.

No, here's what you do (my only qualification admittedly was that I was a training mod on Sherdog so take that for what you will):

eat your carbs in the first half of the day, after midday, cut them out completely.

break your meals up into smaller meals, scattered throughout the day (5-6 meals a day for a start, not 3 huge meals). this increases your metabolism. this doesn't mean eat 5-6 huge meals. it means break up what you are currently having over 5-6 meals.

do NOT skip meals as this slows down your metabolism, which means you store more in fat.

If you want a specific diet, give me some more info. That should serve for a guideline.

Jake is correct. Six small meals a day, you should stay full all day when you eat this way.

example
8am- 3eggwhites and 1 egg scrambled, oatmeal
10am- protein shake
1pm- lunch small chicken breast(6 to 8 oz), rice
4pm- tuna sandwich(mix tuna with a tablespoon of lowfat mayo)w/lettuce and/or tomato
7pm- dinner(chicken,fish,lean steak) and a side salad
10pm- protein shake

Also, drink lots of water. Get a 20oz bottle and make sure your drinking that thing at least 6+ times a day.

What you eat will be largely dependant on your height and weight. But something similar to Zen420 is what I recommend.

CrashZero -
losing 2lbs in a month is reasonable. If you want to gain lean mass, then start lifting weights and eating a diet similar to the one outlined by Zen above. High protein intake is mandatory (approx 30g protein per meal is ideal).
