View Full Version : Joey Barton - Kicked out of football or not?
Likely_Lad 05-03-2007, 09:15 AM What do you think, he's our best player but I'm sick of him.
To attack Dabo from behind and then repeatedly punch him unconcious while he is on the deck is just out of order and cowardly!
kayjay 05-03-2007, 09:32 AM You a City fan? They're like my second-favorite English team because they gave Reyna a home. His school and mine have a bit of rivalry, and Reyna (who was at UVA) watched me tear up his home turf in '93.
But no, why would he be banned from football? They'll sell him I suppose, but teams are already lining up, no?
The Wire 05-03-2007, 10:18 AM If we stay up I'd love to see him at West Ham. He's the sort of player that thrives on Green Street. In fact, seeing as few clubs will buy him now, I'd love to see him here if we go down too!
I have a sneaky feeling that Pompey might go in for him though. Redknapp loves a risk and a bargain, which Barton undoubtedly would be.
Mick Hucknall 05-03-2007, 10:22 AM was it his brother who got done for that murder? if so Scum obviously runs in his family and someone who goes and hits another person from behind is a ****ing coward

Yeah his brother killed a black guy with an axe, it was a horrifying case. Here's a link for anyone that's interested:

kayjay 05-03-2007, 10:25 AM oh ****ing God; what a weapon!
Jim_Davis 05-03-2007, 10:34 AM C.unts cousin killed Anthony Walker. Joey Barton is a dirty scumbag who is gonna get his head kicked in one day ahaha ****ing england reject
OptimusWolf 05-03-2007, 11:15 AM I like him as a player but he's heading to jail at this point. i mean his cousin committed a murder and even that couldn't help him turn his life around. He talks about professionalism one week and then punches someone from behind the next. He's going nowhere in the game no matter who he plays for imo
paul750 05-03-2007, 11:25 AM Yeah I remember that murder. Absolute scum of the earth. His brother doesn't appear to be much better. These people offer **** all to society and should be locked up for life.
MickyHatton 05-03-2007, 11:26 AM Cowardly attack IMO, obviously he wont be banned for good but maybe he should be.
Don't forget this is about the third or fourth incident including the stubbing of the cigar on a young player's face and the attack on the very young Everton fan.
Not sure if he attacked from behind, different sources say different things but they all agree he kept hitting Dabo once he was down and out so......
I don't know the lad but I know the area he comes from and there are many like him, his brother Michael and his cousin Paul Taylor had reputation's around the Everton Valley and Huyton area's and you would think with the opportunities Joey Barton has had and the lifestyle he leads he would get as much distance between him and his past.
You know the saying 'you can take the boy out of the city but....'

Jim_Davis 05-03-2007, 11:47 AM "In a hotel bar in Bangkok, he physically attacked a schoolboy Everton fan."
He should be kicked out of the game for good. Then let him hang about on his estate all day with the other losers if thats the life he wants to choose.
OptimusWolf 05-03-2007, 11:53 AM He must be close to a 6 or 12 month ban, and after that he could get a life ban. I can't understand people who get chances to make something special out of their lives given significant disadvantages but continually throw it all away, time after time.
It really bugs me why they keep pressing self-destruct.
Jim_Davis 05-03-2007, 11:57 AM Yup certain people really dont appreciate what they have got and blow it all by acting like idiots.
TheHoff! 05-03-2007, 03:21 PM He's a cowardly cunt so he is.
I read in the paper that he was pissed off cause the night before Dunne got voted Man citys player of the year instead of him.

That's true, he also wanted the 'pay increase clause' put in his contract for new players coming in on higher wages and they said no.
A school kid gave him some grief about being a scouser playing for a Manc team and instead of him thanking his lucky stars that he does and that he earns 35k a week he butted the kid!
paul750 05-03-2007, 03:51 PM I say send him to prison and let him get ass-raped by Charles Bronson.
adietheforestfa 05-05-2007, 06:43 PM City should sell him to Sunderland. Roy Keane would fukin sort the twat out. IMO

Funnily enough this now seems to be on the cards!
Everton are also in the mix!

Keane was a bit of a thug earlier in his career, he turned out ok, so maybe he could sort Barton out?

Agreed, I would have expected Stuart Pearce to sort him out but it seems the guy doesn't learn!
Keane although tempestuous as a youngster still never did half the things Barton has done, not sure whats up with the lad?

He was no trouble to Cloughie when he was at Forest.
