The Xbox 360's lack of a guaranteed hard disk is creating limitations in Grand Theft Auto IV's development, Rockstar has acknowledged.

During an interview with our partners in crime at Official PlayStation Magazine, Rockstar's creative vice president Dan Houser was asked: "On PS3 you've got a guarantee that every machine is going to have a hard-drive and, with Blu-ray, you've got plenty of storage, whereas on Xbox 360 there's no guarantee of a hard-drive and you're working with the DVD format. Does that create limitations?" To which he replied, "Yep."

He continued, "To be honest with you we haven't solved all those riddles yet."

I sure hope this doesn't mean that Rockstar would handicap the 360 version of the game.

I have both - and no longer use PC for gaming.

PC Chairs etc are so damn uncomfortable to sit at for long whereas lounging on my couch playing 360 can be done for hours on end (plus bigger TV, surround sound etc etc)

exactly, alot of people are using pc's for personal ****. i dont use it for games.

I would use it for games but its very expensive to keep it up to games these days....

Unless you got a decent graphics card, a dual core processor (or a really powerful single core), and atleast a gig of RAM your not doing very much good gaming...

gta 4 will be amazing

there is also downloadable content for the 360 version that you cant get on ps3

PC games, you have to spend $300 for the cutting edge video card every three years to keep up with the games that utilize the latest and greatest hardware.

Then there's the patches that may or may not work. Then there's the video card patches to work with the new patches.

What a head ache. That's why I'm in the help desk business. :D
