my shoulder feels a lil bit better. more sore than hurt so i decide to you know check my range of motion and give a little flex to my traps and as i flew i notice that my right trap pops right up but my left stays almost completely flat. this scares the **** out of me.

what is it?

i'm very worried.

Are you right handed Vulgar?

It isn't uncommon for people who are right or left handed to have more development on that side...even people who lift consistently for a long time, can have some differences. For instance my right arm is slightly bigger around the bicep/tricep than my left.

Which shoulder did you hurt? If it was your left one, there is your answer. You haven't used it a great deal of late, either consciously or unconsciously and your left trap has slightly atrophied (gotten smaller) and your right one has grown slightly, making a noticeable difference.

Nothing to be concerned about, can be fixed with dumbell shrugs and by using your left side more when you feel completely comfortable with it.

no you don;t understand. my traps were right about the same size no question.

and i flexed and there wasn't even tension really on the left side.

I just did it again and i had a little pop on the left side still less than half the right side.

i injured my left shoulder and sapposedly did somethign ot the AC ligament. could this mean i snapped whatever is connected tot he muscle andi get no tesnion?

What that is telling me is that you definitely damaged the connective tissue between your shoulder and trapezius on that side. Have you seen a physio at all? They should be able to give you some ultrasound or something to help speed up the process. Also if you haven't seen one, it would be a good idea anyways. Dr's are good, but don't always pick up on problems that aren't obvious at first. They will generally X ray and insure no bone damage is done, but anything else can be missed. A physio will go more on feel and by checking your range of motion and functionality.

It could also be that the tissue hasn't repaired yet and will just need some more time to get 100%

If you are still in the sling, do not worry too much at this point. Your shoulder still has a way to come and it will be all ok in due course.

Listen to the advice you are given on rehab and all that, take the time to get it right and it should pan out all ok

you really think i will need rehab? I thought it woudl just come with time.

Rehab will be essential. Time will heal it, but rehab will heal it both quicker, and the end result will be closer to how it was before the injury.

Rehab will be your friend for a while

You will be able to technique fine, but I would hold out on full on grappling till you have full confidence in it and it has regained strength

It sucks...but injuries are an occupational hazard it would appear.
The best thing you can do is keep in mind that you are young, hungry and will be better for getting the injury right first time so it doesn't become a recurring problem.

It will get better

Physiotherapist. They deal with a lot of muscular and ligament/tendon problems. Generally are against surgery and are a good avenue for gaining rehab programmes

so should i try to get n appointment with one of those instead of an ortho?

They should do a similar job I would guess. My last bit of advice is to try and avoid surgery. It will set you back even further
