aint hard? AINT HARD???? the 2nd time i saw them we opened the ENTIRE lawn area of irvine meadows ampetheter into one giant mosh pit and there was well over 3000 people pittin to around in a circle that probably was about a quarter mile in diameter.

no other band (and i've seen plenty over there) has ever come CLOSE to creating the mayhem like them.

need more evidence? go rent the dvd and see what those ****ing crowds are doing.

and the only real way to define "hardcore" is to take a look at the reactions that the fans will give you during a live set. everything else is just a matter of opinions. but just because their style is complete different (originality is a plus as far as i'm concerned) from all the other grindcore, speedmetal, punk, or other hardcore **** you hear doesn't mean they're not hardcore.

hypochrits?? not even. they've got a message and they're spreading it. what else are they gonna do??? never get signed, play a bunch of tiny clubs and let a few hundred people hear em out??? bull****! by hittin the big scene they've been able to let the entire WORLD hear em out.
even tommy morello said that as much as he hates it, in this world, you need to have $$ to make a change. and that's why they donate most of their profits to charities. that's why on all of their albums you get a list of these charities and info on how to donate to them. that's why everytime you would hear about morello and de la rocha you would see them in the news at some new demonstration.

these guys have BEAT the system but manipulating it's benefits to successfully speak out against it. once you see the bigger picture then you realize that they're not hypocrites at all.

alongside to tool and pearl jam, rage against the machine is the best band to come out in the last 15 years.

Prince

Tool would be the correct answer here.

Prince

sonata arctica, the doors, and johnny cash would also be acceptable.
