On the April 13 episode of SmackDown, General Manager Theodore Long announced a blockbuster for Backlash. Undertaker will defend his World Heavyweight Championship against Batista in a brutal Last Man Standing Match.
The rivalry between the SmackDown monsters has grown in intensity in recent months, and reached a boiling point at WrestleMania when The Deadman captured The Animal's gold and extended his undefeated streak to 15-0.
Batista has always made it clear that the World Heavyweight Championship is what drives him to excel in WWE, and at Backlash, he will do whatever it takes to reclaim his title. Undertaker, in his first reign as World Heavyweight Champion has made it clear that he has no intentions of surrendering his title any time soon.
