Be specific guys: What are the requirements. How and where should I achieve these?

Where do you train at?

in my kitchen with my mom and with my little cousin when he comes over

recommend some places in NY if you can...because I always have this feeling to throw punches and kicks...I was depressed until I saw the UFC, but I like the old underground UFC better than the new pop UFC. It seemed more mysterious back then

It seems to me like most guys start out fighting in local am shows and if they're good enough to go pro then the next step is to fight for a small professional organization and just try to work your way up through the ranks. At this point its just important to train hard, and to get in with a decent gym with good coaches and training partners who know about real fighting of this type and who train in both grappling and standup. There are plenty of schools out there that just do grappling or standup, but it is essential to do both, and to be schooled in submissions.

And how old are you?? If you're still in school so I'd say wrestling would be invaluable at this point, that is a huge part of MMA and it is essential to be familiar with the wrestling style for defencive and offensive purposes, but you could suplement it with some striking training that'd be a double plus.

Practicing on your mum is the best way to learn, it’s how I learned. I remember this one time the bitch was cooking breakfast, so I called here, she turned round, I took here down Koscheck style and hit a Kimura from Mount position, that bitch was owned.

Lately I’ve been trying to GnP here but the bitch keeps using the frying pan.

Go to a gym/club, learn your ass off and have your trainer guide you. Start at the bottom and work your way up. A guy who was at our gym (he left about 2 weeks after I joined) started doing local shows, now he’s just recently signed a 3 fight contract with Cage Rage with the promises of a big name fight if he impresses in his first 2 fights (I’ll try find the guys details on sherdog in a sec),

From UFC website:

Q: How do I get into the UFC?
A: Fighting in the UFC requires years of training and fighting experience. If you think you've got what it takes, send a VIDEO TAPE of your fights, and a short bio to:

DO NOT send anything that does not include a video tape. Due to the volume of mail we receive, we may not be able to acknowledge your inquiry.

ya that was pretty funny lol.
the guy that posted this, are u still a young buck? jus curious cause u mess around with your mom and lil cousin and sound u are not serious yet. Where you jus ****ing around about that? U live in NY huh, if i were living there i would most likely give Matt Serra's gym a look, train with pete sell and luke cummo:D start off with training for awhile, learn BJJ there cause serra learned from the best, The Gracie family. If your ready do some small time fights and if your doing well you will eventually move up to bigger shows and if you win at like cage rage or king of the cage a video will probably get sent to Dana White he will check you out and probably give you a 1 fight deal in ufc but if you were to win that fight impressive or not then u will be fighting on future shows with ufc. All sounds like other post but thats the way it works in the fighting business.

thaks fellas

I'm 26. I just play around with my mom and cousin. I weight 175 and I exercise and lift weights weekly.

I think Henzo has a gym in NYC. I will check him out. We also have a judo club in my school. I am studying Psychology. When I'm done I'll probably think about fighting. Thanks for the tips on training.

renzo`s gym is a huge waste of money, unless you well off or prettyt rich, your not gonna be able to afford it!

renzo = bjj

bjj isnt mma

mma >>> bjj

my best advice is to train at a nice gym in new york/new jersey....(i know a place in mahway where i used to train...) and usually a promoter will stop by and tell him you want to fight in the smaller shows...build your self up my dude! start small, and keep building urself up
