Or will he comes back, better prepared and dominate his way to a battle with Fedor, and be a potential greater threat to Fedor? Or will this loss be his downfall in the MMA world? Or will CroCop, after having felt some life potentially threatening heat, retire? Guys who are accustomed to winning don't really like to face adversity. What do you guys think all his friends over at pride think?

Are you new to MMA?

Did you not see him get knocked out cold by Randleman? That was even nastier than Gonzaga's kick by far. And he guillotined him in the rematch.

No he won’t but he needs change both his style and attitude up.

Looking for the highkick isn’t gonna hold up much longer, it’s easy to avoid if you make sure that your lead left foot is always outside of Cro Cop’s lead right foot. He also needs to work on his ground defence. He is attempting to squeeze his opponent and hold him close until they get a standup. Basically, manipulating the rules of MMA. It worked in Pride...but in UFC, big nono

And last but not least his attitude, it’s worked against him before and once again it come back to haunt him. The fact he did little training and no Cage training at all says a lot about him really.

Of course this all depends weather his injury is that bad or not and reports atm suggest it isn’t.

Cro Cop is far from retiring..pretty dumb question, if your in this sport yes you will win some and lose some, he will be back.

Crocop will return ,looks like he might of underestimated his opponent a little.Saying that Gonzaga looked class and was well up for it.

Exactly. Anybody can be caught by a kick or a punch. Cro Cop will learn from this like he did against Randleman.

How the hell can they allow a guy to ground and pound a guy with elbows to the head and not allow kicks to head because "they are to dangerous". That's one thing I don't get. Elbows are the hardest part on your body and in my opinion cause a lot more damage.

I agree with most of what you say, but not here. That ko last night was alot worse than his loss to Randleman. I would love to see Fedor walk into the UFC, Iv been watchin MMA since the beginning, and have never seen A more well rounded fighter than Fedor Emlianenko. His fight with Randleman was great, got slammed on the back of his head, and didnt even fase him. Right now, What heavyweight can beet him? I love Coutour, but cant see him touching Fedor.

Yeah, I agree, I think its just that elbows dont look as brutal, although when it comes to stomps and soccer kicks i dont think elbows are as bad.

mirko definetly needs more cage training. he is so used to being able to cut his oppponents off/trap them in a ring setting and in a cage he doesnt really have that luxury per se.

If someone held a gun at me and gave me the choice of getting elbowed from a guard or get on all fours and get soccer kicked in the head, I think I will go with the elbows. The amount of force generated from your legs for a soccer kick is much greater that any elbow could ever have.

It's usually one soccer kick and you're done. In the ufc they can be on the ground and rain down countless elbows. Taking a full fight of elbows to the dome is more damaging than one soccer kick.

Don't get me wrong, I wouldn't care if they got rid of elbows, I just don't think they should install soccer kicks either.

yeah i agree, some people just watch for the brutal shit like soccer kicks but i dont think it really adds to the sport from a competition standpoint.

cro-cop got rocked from those elbows and had blurry ass vision...he also had no game plan ( that from his own mouth) thats why he lost ( also the fact that gonzaga came in @ 110%)....he was way to cocky and he is going to come back and rain hell on everyone!

I'm with you guys, ban soccer kicks, ban elbows (you can punch though), and ban knees to the head when people have two knees down. Those things only give one person an unfair advantage. take them out and you will improve the sport

elbows are cheap in my book....you could hurt people with elbows, but thiers such a higher percentage of causing cuts it should be banned!

It should be noted that Mirko himself said that in an interview after the last fight that he can’t see himself being convinced to fight after his 4 remaining fights are done with.

Pretty interesting i thought.
