This Turkish security guard is also an amateur boxer. He also had a gun on him at the time but didn't need to use it.

it the conditioning and mentality that help more than the tech in boxing vs street fight but there some thing that will work but most wont

Notice, too, the punch that dropped or stopped the majority of them was the jab to the nose. Not a power punch, but a quick, accurate punch, and if he's an amateur boxer, his most-practiced punch. Remember that most people have never been hit hard in the face -- and remember what happened to you the first time YOU caught a square punch to the nose :owned: . Also note that most of those guys had no idea how to defend against a skillful jab -- windmilling their arms, flinching, etc. He's not dancing, not showing off, just up in almost a peekaboo guard, using his range and his most-practiced punch.

Good video. Interesting stuff.

EDIT: One last thing: check out how fast the other guys start backing off after three of them are on the ground from one punch apiece. Suddenly, they want to reason with the boxer. :boxing:

I liked how he did not try to exchange and just kept his distance for a jab.

I agree with fraidycat's analysis. It was a very interesting video. It got me pumped up as well. If i get in a fight soon I'm going to just relazed like that guy and just do my thing.

Oh yeah, that left hook he dropped that guy with was badass.

Fradycat was right. People forget how much damage a quick hard jab can do.

Seriously, this is what happens when a guy who trains in boxing can easily beat guys who have never been taught how to fight. As long as a boxer is standing, hes easily going to take out a normal bloke. End of.

The guy in white who got his ass beat, made the mistake of throwing all his weight into that kick right when that straight right hand hit him. That's how you get hurt, those guys really weren't ****, but good work by the boxer. I wonder what his record is, who those guys were, and why that fight took place. The guy in white looked like the only kind of martial arts he ever did was somethin he saw off a TV show..

nevertheless, it's always good to see the local white turtle-neck wearing clown, who can't act normal in public, get his ass handed to him with one well directed punch.

this clip did demonstrate the power of the well trained, educated jab on the street. Going up against lots of average guys, one great thing is better than a variety of good things, if you know what I mean.

That is totally correct, Better to have a handful of techniques you are 100% proficient in than hundreds of techniques you have barely mastered

agree. a solid jab can be very efficient in real fight situations. that is why i focus on making the jab more of a power punch.

absolutely agree. that is a main philosophy behind my practice as well.

now, about the vid. looked like the am boxer threw a few good power jabs. the power jab = one of my favorites. i was surprised that one guy went after the boxer after a couple guys had already been popped.

it's always nice to see how a trained fighter can go through a few guys with seemingly no training at all.
