I just watched this show again after first watching it last week and I must say it's pretty amazing stuff. These explorers are nuts. I think I'd pass on actually doing any of that stuff though; I'd much rather watch from the comfort of my living room. I have mixed feelings about the whole exploring thing though; in one sense it's pointless and dangerous, but in another sense it's educational to be shown on TV etc.

yeh I watched tonights episode aswell. He knows what he's doing and takes a few risks. I watched one a while back where he was stranded on a tropical island that one was a cracker, he built a raft made for the ocean then came accross two tiger sharks who were circling his raft

I enjoyed a similar type of series with Benedict Allen a while back. I think it was around 2003 or something. I'm not sure what happened to him, maybe these kind of shows aren't commissioned very often, which is a pity really, but we live in an age when cheap, crap TV rules.
