UFC: Some people point to the fact that Tank has never been arm locked or leg locked. Can you finish Tank Abbott with a joint lock?

Mir: “I believe so. Anytime Tank has fought a good grappler they were probably 200 pounds. I am a 250 pound grappler. There’s a difference. He might be able to overpower a submission from a smaller guy through sheer size and will. If Tank showed up as big as possible he would only outweigh me by 15 pounds (due to the weight class). I feel very confident that if Tank makes a mistake that I will submit him. Tank needs to try to hit me a lot but stay safe because if he opens himself up there will be a submission. I’ve submitted people that I was not supposed to be able to submit before. We’ll see.”

I think that tank is training hard for this one. Read the Feb issue of ultimate athlete and look at his training. I say tank, knock out late into the second round.

Tank is old and it looks like he had a hard time just walking down the ramp when he called out(kind of) Joe Rogan. Mir should be really ready for this one after the Freeman fight so I think that it will be Mir by submission or GnP.

Mir is gonna choke him out or it will be a stoppage from a joint lock.

Its not a question of if Tank will get caught in a joint lock, he defininitly will if Mir chooses to go that route.

I just don't think Tank will tap to a joint lock. Mir will break his arm before Tank taps. Tank has said in pervious interviews that he will never tap to a join lock, but a choke is different.

Im pickin Tank in this fight, he has been training hard from what I can tell, and he still has K.O. power, Tank by KO.....
