Irish0910 04-18-2007, 01:36 AM would you ever spar with 10 oz gloves? mgkirkpatrick 04-18-2007, 02:02 AM nah you'd wanna be sparring in 16s ideally. 10s are suitable for bag work and the like. focus pads etc. but if you train in heavier gloves you're going to be that much quicker when you put the 10s on in a fight Trick 04-18-2007, 03:39 AM nah you'd wanna be sparring in 16s ideally. 10s are suitable for bag work and the like. focus pads etc. but if you train in heavier gloves you're going to be that much quicker when you put the 10s on in a fight Well that's not entirely true, but it's part of it. Trick 04-18-2007, 09:10 AM The being faster if you train with 16oz gloves. A lot of it is it just feels faster. Although heavier gloves help. Also, life, say 8oz gloves help as well. Unless you develop the muscle memory, you can't move a muscle quickly. potatoes 04-18-2007, 02:54 PM would you ever spar with 10 oz gloves? Gloves are a way of reducing hand injuries. Heavier gloves usually means fewer hand injuries.
