It should say "whey protein" on the label that is what the product is called....
Take it ONLY WITH WATER after a workout...Take it after boxing and weight training......
Do not eat after whey protein wait about 2 hours before eating again....
Yes whey is healthy no worries....
Real Deal 10-15-2004, 11:42 AM Should I take 20g of whey protein powder mixed with water?
spinksjinx 10-15-2004, 11:43 AM Should I take 20g of whey protein powder mixed with water?
Yes that is fine, do not exceed more then 30grams in one sitting otherwise it is just wasted and can be turned into fat... 20g is great.

Protein wont put weight onto you as long as you are not overdoing it and depending on what you eat during the day is another factor, you have to keep a nice clean diet and train hard and eat just enough to keep your weight....Im at 121 and to keep my current weight im averaging around 1200-2000 calories a day. I switch from high to low to keep me going and balance my energy levels on different days.....
Whey will not put fat onto you if you are training.
Real Deal 10-16-2004, 08:51 AM Will whey grow muscle?
spinksjinx 10-16-2004, 08:57 AM Will whey grow muscle?
Absolutely...If you are working your muscles and getting the right amount of protein you will gain muscle.....Since I believe you dont want to build bulk and just want definition you better make sure you are not using a bodybuilders routine either......
Muscles need protein to rebuild after a workout and to form new muscle.....

Id go w/ 100% whey, I have had nothing but success with it and wouldnt change it for anything, I use this brand

It is the best tasting and has given me the best results (I have tried about 10 different whey products and this is the one that works best for me)
On top of that it is the cheapest and usually they run buy 1 get 1 free deals and 1 container lasts me about 6 months....No complaints

I have done both, Usually I go in and buy it because it is more conveinent for me since I work right next to it....But I have ordered from their and shipping is fast usually 3-5 days in the U.S.

whats up man
i wouldnt go with 100% straight up whey nothin wrong with it
but tha good stuff is something called Pro complex
mostly whey protein, some minerals and vitamins, only 1 gram of sugar, and it has egg white protein and all tha good amino acids, and it has glutamine in it
good stuff
Real Deal 10-16-2004, 02:00 PM what if I just eat egg whites, it would be cheeper
Real Deal 10-16-2004, 02:03 PM What if I mix the egg whites with water? Use three or four boiled eggs.
spinksjinx 10-16-2004, 02:11 PM Dude you dont want eggs.
If you want that lean muscular look, like say someone of arturo gatti's stature a build like that (lean) you dont want anything that will put mass on you plain and simple....
You said you want to stay at 175.
But also that depends on how much you put into your body as well....
Real Deal 10-16-2004, 02:18 PM lets see what proteibn powder I can buy

Flat out any protein should be fine as long as you dont drink it excessively......The one I posted is a great powder and I have gotten great results from it and it has no sugar and the best taste as well (most taste like ass) this even tastes good mixed with warm water....Plus you get the most bang for your buck.....
Go with anything you want.

Pre (1 hour or so) and post (immediatly following) workouts you want pure whey - it is rapidly absorbing. All other times per day you want something like Pro Complex (which I love) that has a slower more constant delivery.
Shoot for a gram per pound per day spread over 5 or 6 meals/shakes. Dont rely to much on the shakes, use whole foods.
