You don't get full extension on your straight punches, and your leverage needs a little work. Also, you pivot to your left too much, looks like a bad habit. It's gonna set you up for a right cross/hook, if you do it that way, without rolling. Especially since you always do it AFTER you've punched. Rolling to your left is better used to slip the other guys punches, to get in range and counter him. You should definitely work on moving to your right after punching.

You need a lot of work, but overall not bad.

Edit: Your balance on your feet isn't all that good. You should put in a lot of work on your footwork. A lot of work...

THANX.... I See what you mean on my entending but I am also pulling my punches......The push off to my right just hurts the ribs a lil more than the left so i jus said **** it... but regardless the way i train is the way I would fight so thanx... i'll definately keep that in mind.

first of thank you for reminding me i need to download that song. second the vid was generally a good one! brolic is a great word nick! the thing i would work on if i was you would be putting a bit more on the hooks.. make them more dynamic.. but i guess that would suck for your ribs atm. n e ways lookin good man. punchdrunk is the man for advice.

you one of the most condition people in the website so no problem with that.

Try to put you left hand forward from time to time so that to make a spacing between you and you opponent. What weight class and hieght are you ? If you tall that will be a total advantage for you and you could easily kick many short guys ass like that :D

another thing you sometimes tend to lower you right hand off the chin and that is a no no :nonono: because anytime you will be dealing with a guy that could punch you and the fight is ended.

another thing try when jabbing to move in and then go out and when you hit a combo try going sideways so you oppenet cant hit you and you will be in his blindspot preparing and powershot as a present to KO him. use you footwork more.

I'm fighting at 165... super middle weight...yea when i wear those gloves i sometimes drop the right a lil when I get tired... i train 3 rounds after using the gloves just so it won't become a habit...

Yea yea my pivots and footworks suck.. can't move that good until i heal up... ribs are the worse thing to hurt in boxing.. besides your hand i think.

How many fights do you have?

2 am's which were sanctinoed in jersey until one trainer remembered me from my smoker fights which are un-sanctioned fights where you don't have to register and the weight difference can be up to 10 pounds something like a Tough Man Contest (Heard of that?) - which i've had 23 of so my book was is basically not valid besides my 2 sanctioned Am's.

You can box in the smoker fights but that doesn't mean your going against a boxer. some people are just off the street. all you need is a trainer and few dollars.

Florida now to start new...

have you fought?

88 am fights. 8 years (Edit: make that 7, now that I think about it..) of coaching experience since then. I've had a few U19 European championships contestants, and a bunch off national champs (Denmark, which isn't saying much...:nonono: ).

I have a couple guys who should be turning pro within a year or two. Hopefully the one kid will stay am for a while. He's going to the EU championships in June, World championships in September. If he gets a good draw, wins two fights, to reach the quarterfinals, he's qualified for the Olympics. Alas, that's probably more a dream.... But that would be a great boost, for his career, for the gym, and for me.

I like working with the younger kids too. Seeing them develop over the years, as fighters and as people. Really interesting, when you get a little older. I'm definitely not in this for the money!

Is it just me or are you punching up in the attic? Like your jab to me seems a little high up compared to your right when you usually throw it. Other than that and what others had to say, pretty good job.

Aiming a little low with the right hand on a one-two is actually a good thing. You want to hit him in the jaw with it, not the forehead. Also, if he moves his head, you can always hit him in the chest, which isn't as fast to move. So throwing a high jab followed by a lower right is a good thing. At least in my book...

Well i can answer this one easy...

Everytime I shadow I think of a different fighter... this time i was thinking about this dude that is 6'4-178 down here....He dips low when he trys to slip jabs so i throw the punches where he would be.

Anyway... hey what did you mean about my legs? Is there something else I could be doing to take the pressure off my RIBS?

If so please let me know because its really hurting my trainging not being able to throw the full arsenal of punches...
They jus hurt so bad on hooks and uppercuts... and when I pivot to right they hurt... or when I slip to the left they hurt...

i'm really not clear on why i can pivot left so easily.. but i think it has somethin to do with pushin off with my right.

But hey keep the comments comin on my posts punch.. I take them all seriously...I'll be posting sparring soon.

ohh yea and punching the chest is something that boxers do not use enough... its almost as bad as getting hit in the sternum if its hard enough.

That, plus it stops him in his tracks, setting up more punches for you.

Some of your earlier punches looked to be aimed high, like you're in with Valuev or something. Best to have that aiming point a little below where you want to create the contact. I've seen many fights and never seen anyone jump to avoid a punch. Aim low, that way if they crouch or duck, which many people do as instinct on head punches, they'll catch it right where you wanted to get them at times.

there is a way to have more power i notice Frietas does it when he throws his striaght right.

he bend down and hit it straight from bottom of the chin toward the top.

another thing how did you get hurt on the ribs?

A pro that comes to the gym everynow and then...

His name is lavaugn sumthin.. i think smith..

his record isnt great at all.. He got stopped on the Winky Wrght Kassim Ouma CARd.. and he might be fighting on the mayweather card(most likely get stopped cuz he doesn't train with other pros..or train enough at all for that matter) before it comes on tv.. the ones they don't show.

but he's good enough to knock the am's in the gym around so no one spars him... He wanted to spar so i did... I was doing good till the 5th round i leaned a lil forward and didnt protect my ribs and he caught me real good...couldn't even make the next round..

that guy is a ***** for doing so he should take it abit easy for someone like you who have little experince but good that you are very well conditioned

try boxing around because that is going to see some of his weak point and reactions like in the 1st round try using fient and jab and progress more and more combo as you go along and feel comfortable that is if you are fighting someone unknowen or expericence as this dude.

how many years have you been training to get a body like that ?

DA1CATAS

I get in and outta shape quickly.... so i couldn't give you a time period... I got introuble wit da law and stopped training...

but then came back.. so we can say about 1 1/2 years all together... but i've had a bunch of un-registered fights.. so those prally kep me in good stamina range.. which makes it easy to get ripped and cut up feel me

legs are very stiff. If you get some bend in your knees you'll find immediately that your balance improves. When balance improves, everything improves. You look good though.

Your balance is off,if u stood in that position and I went over there I would knock u over with a push.and your to tight,u need to loosen up.and u need to extend your punches more.

and show boxing is for u to pretend like your boxing some1,it looks as if your chasing a rat with the pivots your using.

I agree with everyone on me not bending my knees causing my balance and pivoting to look sloppy...

But I've also stated before in the VERY FIRST post for all you people that jus watched without reading that my ****ing RIBS are ****ed. and if you know mechanics you understand that **** gets ****ed if you can turn your punches fully over or bend your torso too much.

hit yourself with a jackhammer right by the left sternum and then try throwing punches. 1
