Sometimes people feel better about themselves by abusing the crap out of other people.

On forums, this often takes the form of making fun of other people based on appearance (often considered the lowest form of a comeback). e.g. "You're a ugly moron!"

Occasionally... very occasionally.... people are stupid enough to provide ammunition to be used against themselves.
