As some of you may have read we have started a Limey League.

As a starter we have gone with the Premierships Best Ever 22 and are looking for 10 players but that doesn't matter so much, the player who gets the best average of players will be declared the winner and receive 5k and 10 points for the league table.

The next player will receive 9 points etc etc. If there is a tie the points and cash will be shared.

Each week or so a new category will be posted based on idea's posted here and a poll (unless anyone has a better idea)

To enter the Bi Monthly Competition you will need to 'register' on this thread and pay into the Kitty 1k per category each time you enter.

If you decide not to enter a particular category then that's fine, if you have registered you will receive 1 point regardless and will not have to pay.

At the end of the year, lets say New Years Eve the winner will be crowned Limey Champion and receive a pooled cash sum and some form of other prize (I'm sure OL, and The Hoff can think of an appropriate one)

Ok I understand it now. I thought it was a Fantasy Football League at first but its just you list your players and if they make the final 22 then you get points.

I wouldnt say they were obscure, some of them were strange picks but people know who they are. I mean Andy Hinchcliffe, Yeboah and mustapha hadji should never be in there. Yeboah had a few great moments but thats all he had, whereas other cunts had great ****in careers. Hinchcliffe was limited and hadji just aint in the same class as most of the other midfielders mentioned.

I saw Hadji play quite a bit when he signed for the Villa and he was dissapointing for us. He had talent sure but he aint in the same class as Gerrard, Ince, Keane, Vierra and a few others. He was impressive in the 98 world cup and did well for Coventry but he doesnt merit such high praise as being in the best premiership 22, but that's just my opinion and you're entitled to disagree.

Yeboah scored a few amazing goals but he really only had one or two good seasons and then ****ed off and I think that there are a few forwards who have/had more talent and a better eye for goal.

As for Hinchcliffe, he was decent an all but again I wouldnt say he deserves a spot. It's all subjective though so fair enough...
