View Full Version : I like weekdays more than weekends
HockeyFighter 02-01-2003, 08:34 PM School kills time. Makes the day go by faster. I hate time. Time sucks. On the weekend I have too much time and I just do nothing. **** weekends. When you are unemployed they have no meaning. I'm looking forward to the summer so I can work, make money and have weekends be a happy time again. Because right now I'd rather be in school.
seldomTap 02-01-2003, 08:36 PM That sucks...you could be like me and work most weekends...that is really cool! Nothing like a 7am start when all you want to do is sleep in like a normal person
HockeyFighter 02-01-2003, 08:43 PM I am just trying to kill 2 more weeks until I can go home again. If work will do that then I might look into it. Sleeping in isn't doing it for me either. I have to reason to stay up late anymore so I go at the same time regardless if it is a weekday or weekend.
seldomTap 02-01-2003, 08:45 PM Hockey...you poor love sick bastard...I know what it is like for you right now....you will be home again soon enough, give it time and you will be able to sort something out that will solve all the problems. trust me
HockeyFighter 02-01-2003, 08:47 PM A time machine would do nicely.
seldomTap 02-01-2003, 08:48 PM You had best see that crazy bastard Dr from Back to the Future...he may have a Delorean with youir name on it
HockeyFighter 02-01-2003, 08:50 PM I gotta kill 13 days and 3 hours. Damn women. Would have been so much easier if she told me she liked me BEFORE I moved away. I could have gone to school somewhere closer to home.
seldomTap 02-01-2003, 08:51 PM These things never go the easy way...that is why it so cool when it all comes together
HockeyFighter 02-01-2003, 08:58 PM I remember a time when I said I would never get into a long distance relationship after seeing what my sister had to go through in hers. And yet here I am. My sister and I are more alike than I care to admit.
I just had to fall for my best friend's sister....well that happened years ago but I just never said anything either. Plus, like her, I tried to deny it because I thought it would be awkward. Like, I used to live at my buddies house more than at my own. His mom calls me son. You can imagine how that makes Kaila feel now when she does that. Kaila gives a good ol' yell "Mom, you can't call him that anymore. We're not married". Then of course I see the opening and move in with the comment "Not yet anyway". Yeah, that's always good for a laugh.
seldomTap 02-01-2003, 09:03 PM We don't necessarily choose who we love, they kinda drop out from the sky and BAM, you are gone. Timing is a ***** my friend, but ****, if you are thinking that this could be it, then there is no rush. Sure you want to be with her all the time, but believe me, you will more than make up for the time away
Stain 02-01-2003, 09:05 PM And that, my friend, is what alcohol is for.
Kimura 02-01-2003, 09:15 PM Go to some Canadian strip joint, I heard they're the best in North America.

That is so how it happened. Took me by total surprise. I tried to deny it for a while. Like "I can't feel this way this soon". But the base friendship was there between us, the feelings were there, all that was needed was one thing to ignite it all like a bolt of lighting. I can remember my exact words too. She was in a bit of depression and she thought she wasn't good looking and I said .... "Kaila, I only wish I could have a girlfriend as good looking as you". And that was all that was needed. I was just trying to cheer up a friend and it became so much more and I couldn't be happier.
seldomTap 02-01-2003, 09:32 PM You know way too much about this whole scene K...what is your real story??
Prince 02-01-2003, 09:37 PM i agree. i'm unemployeed and not in school, so imagine how much ****ing time i have. this sucks.
seldomTap 02-01-2003, 09:38 PM Take up fishing you guys...a great time killer if ever there was one. Cheap, easy to do...all you need is a rod, bait and some water, preferably not your bath tub and you are set
Prince 02-01-2003, 09:39 PM i've tried fishing before....its just about as boring to me. i never catch anything and i just sit there.
seldomTap 02-01-2003, 09:41 PM Try a trout farm those ****ers guarantee you catch something...
Kimura 02-01-2003, 09:51 PM Well, I checked out Spearmint Rhino when I visited my family in L.A. last year. Great place for lap dances.
HockeyFighter 02-01-2003, 09:52 PM Fishing rules!
seldomTap 02-01-2003, 10:19 PM I wish I could fish more often
HockeyFighter 02-01-2003, 10:34 PM What the ****. This was my thread to complain about how much I miss my girlfriend and hate our time apart. 12 days 23 1/2 hours now. Dammit, she is so sweet. She says the sweetest things to me. Like for instance today "i love you chris, i love you so much, i love you with my whole heart, i love you more than i love anything else on the planet, i just really love you and i will love you always". And my sister wonders why I would do anything for her. Stuff like this is also the answer to why I am whipped.
Kimura 02-01-2003, 10:40 PM And that's why we're making suggestions on how you could spend your weekends.
seldomTap 02-01-2003, 10:42 PM Yes, your thread was hijacked...I am to blame partially I feel, but you must admit, it was chock full of good advice!
HockeyFighter 02-01-2003, 10:51 PM It's alberta, we have no lakes or water.........I miss Saskatchewan. Sure we have higher taxes, and sure our roads were barely drivable but dammit. Men are men and fish are plentiful.
seldomTap 02-01-2003, 10:56 PM No water?? ****...give me the undriveable roads anyday
HockeyFighter 02-01-2003, 11:06 PM Yeah, water is scarce around here. We got one piddly-ass stream called the Old Man River. Back home we got 3 major lakes and multiple rivers within 10 minutes drive.
HockeyFighter 02-01-2003, 11:08 PM Actually my little hometown controls the flow of the entire Missouri river.
seldomTap 02-01-2003, 11:10 PM That sounds like a lot of responsibility for a little home town...
I am coming over to your place fishing...better clear the couch
HockeyFighter 02-01-2003, 11:11 PM Couch? **** that. I'll make up the spare bedrooms. Yes that is plural.
Kimura 02-01-2003, 11:11 PM Maybe you should wait til summer though, Canada's just one big sheet of ice right now.
seldomTap 02-01-2003, 11:12 PM Yeah, I'll wait till our winter...I could do with a year round summer...
So i'll get a bed...damn, I don't get one of them at home!
HockeyFighter 02-01-2003, 11:19 PM Fishing, football and stock car racing is the name of my summers......and camping with the gal.
seldomTap 02-01-2003, 11:20 PM My summers involve fishing, work (grrr) and being at the beach...pretty much like the rest of the year
HockeyFighter 02-01-2003, 11:26 PM What kind of fish you catch there?
seldomTap 02-01-2003, 11:29 PM Depends on the time of the year and where, but locally I can get whiting (good eating), Bream, Mulloway, Tuna, Salmon, Snapper and Mullet.
Mulloway are probably the best catch as they can get pretty big, a mate of mine last summer caught one that was over 45 kgs, he got his pic in the paper for ":Catch of the Week!"
HockeyFighter 02-01-2003, 11:36 PM Damn that's big. We ain't got nothing like that back home. We got Yellow Perch (1kg at best), Walleye (2-5kg), Nothern Pike (anywear from the size of a finger to 15kg or so) and Largemouth Bass, one place in Western Canada you can catch'em is good ol' Estevan, Saskatchewan. Also lots of trout around. Ranbows, Browns, Brook, Splake (cross between rainbow and brook)
seldomTap 02-01-2003, 11:39 PM Bass fishing looks pretty awesom what I have seen on tv of it...they get some decent size fish there.
We have trout here, but not all over, mainly in the hills
HockeyFighter 02-01-2003, 11:41 PM Bass are crazy. They eat anything and fight like....like...I'm drawing a blank...something cool anyway.
seldomTap 02-01-2003, 11:43 PM I have got Bass Strike on PS2 and kick ass so I think I would be sweet!
HockeyFighter 02-01-2003, 11:49 PM Bass require no skill to catch. Well I shouldn't say no skill. You got to find them still. Now Pike. Those take no skill to catch. They are everywhere and will eat anything. I caught a perch one time and a ****ing Pike ate the little perch right infront of me while it was still on my damn hook. Then the pike had the hook in it for a while and I was fighting it. Bastard straightened my hook tho. ****ers are strong.
