I wear contacts and I've never had a problem with them during sparring matches. I have, however, knocked a guy's contact out. I saw it fall from his eyelid and stopped the match and told him, but he wanted to keep going.
As for the feet, I bought some arch support inserts for my shoes and, as far as I can tell, they're working very well. I have more of an arch now and have even noticed reduced stressed in my feet as well as my knees. You can get them pretty much anywhere.

I dont' wear contacts... though I may have to in the next few years.. I can fight without them for now. But the flat footed thing.. I just wrap my ankles and give myself extra arch support under the wrap. Works for now

What kind of negative effects does being flat footed bring in boxing? I am flat footed.

I guess you can't be on you toes as good as normal footed people.

i've got nice big flat feet rockin size 13's at only 5'10 and a half. I bought insoles for my shoes and its really helped for my arch and it no longer hurts when i move around in my shoes now

yes it sucks flat footed.. my doc said i am border line flat foot so it makes it hard when training especially jump rope.. i guess the arch insoles work best i had the orthotics.. walkfit.com but after a while it started to hurt even more, started to get blistered up..all you can do is work with it i guess. Dont let it stop you though it really aint a big deal just hard to last on your feet longer.

Contacts fall from left hooks to the head usually, I went 3 rounds and they didnt fall out till one of those shots in the 4th.
