View Full Version : which round does shavers knockdown ali? platinummatt! 04-08-2007, 07:18 PM and ali acts amazed, and shavers kind of laughs and shrugs his shoulders? Thanks ! Yaman 04-08-2007, 07:31 PM I believe it was in the 15th round, i'm not quite sure. This knockdown has been ignored by many people, calling it a slip etc. But it is a legitimate knockdown. Not that there's any shame in getting knocked down by Earnie Shavers. platinummatt! 04-08-2007, 08:04 PM It wasnt the 15th man! I just checked. I think it would have been the first knockdown in the early rounds SABBATH 04-08-2007, 08:09 PM Ali went down in his own corner in the 14th when he slipped where the canvas was wet. It was immediately ruled a slip. It was not a legitimate knockdown. Southpaw Stinger 04-08-2007, 08:11 PM Ali went down in his own corner in the 14th when he slipped where the canvas was wet. And matt it's the second round where shavers connects with a right and Ali has that exaggerated shock on his face. Brassangel 04-09-2007, 12:36 AM In all fairness, Shavers did dominate the 14th round while Ali looked off his mark, tired, and sloppy. Of course, he was probably resting, as we see him put on a great show towards the end of the 15th. |
