Im a Boxer. and suppose to be making my pro debut in may 10 or sometime in June. I got the power, the Pop, the speed. i run too , but i just smoke pretty much everyday now. for like 4 months. I smoke about 8-9 cigaretts a day, sometimes less. If i dont quit then will it be harder for me to win my pro debut???? any advice????

keep smoking, its too late for you. i dont think you can be saved. But smoking will give you cancer, you should keep your body pure.

if you wanna be a good successful pro quit ASAP.

If you not then it's up to you. it's your health.

Its mind over matter, in a strong mind, addiction doesnt exist..

If you were passionate about the Sport and loved nothing but, you wouldnt be smoking in the first place, from that I can see you dont have that kind of drive, desire or passion to be a successful pro

Big Advise Brother. Use the Nicotine Patches. The high dosage ones realy do help.
Stick a note on your cig packet that says somethin like.

IF YOU WANT TO BE A DECENT FIGHTER DO NOT OPEN.

good luck.

Wow Charlie, you have started a thread about quitting smoking at Maxboxing. ESB, Boxrec, and now here. You have more serious problems than smoking.

Did you sign up for an account here just to follow him around?

Are you queer for that guy or what? That's really the only explanation I can think of.....why would a worthless newbie on this site decide to just follow another worthless newbie around? beats me.

All I know is....you can take that shit back to ESB or whatever forum you're from and stop wasting everyone's time with low rent insults in a training and nutrition forum where people are looking for advice.

Nobody gives a **** what he typed in a PM sent to you, and nobody is going to keep quoting your post and laughing.

Just hang yourself.

I know smoking is hard to quit, but what kind of ****ing stupid ass question is that? Are you seriously supposed to get a good answer from us, example: in about 7 weeks and 3 days?

Very stupid question, and of course everyone is going to tell you right now. You'd think someone would say, "oh you got a few more months and then you can".

Some people lack common sense.

Hey **** stick, I've had this account before he started posting. Following him around? Haha! I'm just tired of him cluttering forums that I read w/ BS.

You're damn intimidating with those harsh words. I'll simmer down, don't want any trouble from you...

Actually I thought his post was pretty funny... so is his response to this one... This whole thread was ridiculous anyway so i don't quite understand the unleashing of fury. who goes to a thread titled 'when should i quit smoking???' expecting any sort of helpful information?

Indeed, this is far from a serious topic. I don't think there's any confusion about the effect of smoking anymore...

yo take it from me...

i smoked for 4 years, quit at 19. i quit new years 2006. never looked back, it took me a few trys to actually quit, u have to WANT to quit. if you can get past one week, its EASY. just eat candy , drink juices, and work out when ur nickin for a smoke. but **** bro, its like april now, 4 months for me pretty much, i feel like a champ, its so much better. DO IT asap, itll take about a month to be totally DONE with it
a week and u wont crave em, just remember its all in the head, u dont need cigs. u think u do.

hope that helps
