View Full Version : What Happened to UFC and MMA and everything?!?!?!
Kball15 04-03-2007, 05:43 PM I remember there was like a 6 month span where i heard about it here on the forumns, articles on this website, on ESPN and everywhere on the internet, EVERY DAY.
Now all this talk has basically completely faded out, and i havent heard a word about it up until DANA WHITE and FLOYD MAYWEATHER went at it.
mic573 04-03-2007, 08:57 PM It's not fading away if that's what you are trying to suggests. There was only one guy on here really making those threads anyway.

Well Randy Couture whupped Tim Sylvia which seemed to be a fix,
Matt Hughes will probably avoid georges st pierre like the plague
afet he was koed awhile back and i got no idea what chuck liddell
is doing, they are having a "lesser" event before the next major
ufc event.
i got no idea what chuck liddell
is doing.
He's fighting Rampage again.
He's fighting Rampage again.
has rampage had one or two ufc fights ?
seems like chuck wants his revenge while the guy is vulnerable.
pathetic

Seems like BigPoppaPump puts up a new article every other day, Dana White was just on the Hot List yesterday. Me thinks you just aren't really paying attention.
MatsideObserver 04-16-2007, 07:58 AM The UFC makes me laugh. How do they decide who gets the title fights. Seems like Dana White just makes the matchups ala Vince MacMahon.
How can Rampage's second fight be a title fight? He beat Marvin Eastman who wasn't exactly the top contender for the title.

LOL yeah unlike boxing where everyone ducks eachother or fight ****ty nobodys.

Because hes one of the top ranked LHW's in MMA and whooped Chuck before. Chuck wants to fight him, he wants to fight Chuck and all the fans wanna see it aswell. Wheres the problem with that?

Sorry. . .didn't mean to touch a nerve Dana.
I love MMA (Pride more than UFC I will admit) although u immediately got defensive and assumed otherwise. Just seems odd that there really is no pecking order and seemingly no rhyme or reason as to who gets title shots.

There is no ranking system that UFC or Pride uses. Joe Silva is the matchmaker for UFC. I assume he judges by past performance, who the fans want to see, who the champs want to fight, and who will make the most money for them. The fighters have little control on who they fight.
Nodogoshi 04-16-2007, 08:07 PM Well Randy Couture whupped Tim Sylvia which seemed to be a fix,
That wasnt a fix, Sylvia is slow and Randy brought a good game plan which he executed well. Randy just basically exploited his weakneses and dictated the pace from the start. Randy has also found success against big men in the past as well.

When did I get nervey? I simply corrected your foolishness, you should be thanking me.

Who else is there to fight Chuck Liddel?? nobody..Rampage is the only fighter in LHW to fight him...why give Rampage more time? Chuck brings in alot of money with the PPV's and him waiting for Rampage to improve while he sits back and does nothing is bad for the business. Its all about the $$$$$
the giant one 04-17-2007, 01:28 PM Who else is there to fight Chuck Liddel??
Shogun Rua
2swell k-wells 04-17-2007, 01:36 PM Shogun Rua
whoa slow down there bud, Im sure they will save that for later. They brought in Rampage to fight Chuck Liddel, if this fight wasnt happening then I would be hearing complaints about "**** when is rampage and iceman gon fight" so we are lucky we get to see it this soon. As for Shogun...hey be patient:D it will come after Liddel Ko's Jackson.
tykilroy 04-20-2007, 03:34 AM The Rhyme and the Reason is that its the fights the FANS wanna see. And why wouldnt Rampage be up for a title shot against a man he beat once already ?? Makes him the number 1 contender in my book.
