Right now I'm wearing the Adidas Tyrint III - (they can be found on Eastbay.com or TitleBoxing.com or Ringside.com) - in blue and white. They are very comfortable and provide very good grip and traction. I personally always liked higher cut shoes, but these are pretty good as far as ankle support goes with the strap. And for 59.99 you can't beat the price.

I got a pair of asics... not sure the model but its high top... i think they cost me 30-40 on sale at Dick's and I don't have any comparisons since I'm new to boxing but they feel great and seem to have good traction and support so I'd recommend them.
