DOGGx0 01-27-2003, 01:51 AM read our .com and see what Ortiz stated on the reasons. Its got to be understandable that fighters can not go out there in the biggest fight of their life and not be 100%. I can definately understand everyone's frustrations though.... I will say this.. Nevada Rules say that there can only be one match per night. That meand that if there was a tourny then it would have to take place over an extended period of time. Leave the big tournys to states and outfits that are legaly alowed to do so. Twista 01-27-2003, 02:40 PM i never said it had to be in nevada, it could be in japan The Golden Bear 01-27-2003, 03:40 PM well, you didnt say either way, so i assumed it was going to be in Nevada. No big deal HULK 01-28-2003, 01:36 AM That would be awesome if they had a UFC Grand Prix! Curly Howard 01-28-2003, 09:45 AM it would be cool but then they couldn't control who fought who. Waylander 01-28-2003, 10:32 AM They would get my money to see it if this happened. I think this could be feasible in the future, but waiting til the fan base gets more established and more of a household name would be a good move to, which will allow these archaic rules we have about fight competitions in the states to get dealt with as well. jstkillintime247 01-31-2003, 01:50 AM i dont think the ufc has enough talent to hold a gp Rock Dog 02-01-2003, 08:36 PM A Grand Prix in the UFC or any fight organization would be hot, but why strip Tito of his belt. Sure he should've kept w/ the fight, but he doesn't deserve to loose his belt. Plus the tourney would have to be like a MW w/ a fighter or 2 from the WW and LW divisions to have any feasible talent compete. Imagine if Busta(if they can keep him), Shamrock(if the could get him) and Pele(when they get him) all fought in the same tournement; yould could also have Newton, Belfort, Hughes etc. DOGGx0 02-01-2003, 08:39 PM Originally posted by Rock Dog A Grand Prix in the UFC or any fight organization would be hot, but why strip Tito of his belt.
