View Full Version : capital punishment
rigid 01-26-2003, 10:58 PM do you believe in this or not?i say ****in hell yeah man.i know they have an appeal system an all that horse ****.i also know that some people that are sentenced to death row are innocent and some that walk away need to be there cause they are guilty.
that being said, it's not a perfect world and there are always going to be mistakes.if you are in front of a jury and you are sentenced to death i say you walk right into the prison and into the appropriate room for the appropriate method and check out.
it costs like 18 grand a year to keep an inmate in prison and that is just the people that don't have problems.inmates get free medical care(that is taxpayer funded)and study and get drgrees from college(also taxpayer funded)
just my opinion on these matters of course
LukeDothSucketh 01-26-2003, 11:42 PM it sucks. they should just give them more forced labour.
VulgarTheClown 01-26-2003, 11:43 PM I belive and heavily back the death penalty.
I also back corporal punishment.
If you read up on law back in the day like a hundred years back they said that The punishment must be swift and fit the crime.
no matter how much i hate to say it in the majority Americans are stupid and will react to physical pain before emotional or mental. thats why jail don;t work.
I think singapore has a right idea.
bring back the cane and whip show criminals what it feels like to really be in jail.
Kimura 01-26-2003, 11:46 PM Who are we to play God? Life without parole is punishment enough. These convicted murderers will never see freedom again and that agony is worse than death.
VulgarTheClown 01-26-2003, 11:54 PM that retort alone makes you a sisy ****in cecorship advocating piece of crap.
you kill someone = you get killed
you rape = you get raped
and so on and so forth
**** spending all my taxes on feeding some ******* that raped a 4 year old NO **** HIM KILL HIM!
Kimura 01-26-2003, 11:58 PM Then why the **** do most of these death row inmates want to be executed? They don't want to stay alive and spend another 40 years or so rotting away in hell on earth. Keep those ****s alive, they'd rather die anyway.

maybe that agony is worse than death but it costs a lot of tax payer money to build jails, maintain them, house the inmates, feed/dress them, and take care of them medically.look at those super max computer controlled joints like in illinois where they had gotti.that **** costs a ton of cash.
if we could do something like in the movies where we could ship em off to an island and let them fend for themselves then i am all for that but **** paying for them.
my idea and i will stand by it is, although vague you will get the basic concept of it.war in iraq is happening.same thing in afghanastan.give all the death row people a couple m16's and let em loose over there and tell em to get busy.kill or be killed.**** em if they die.if we win the war **** em anyway.let the people over in those countries deal with them.kill em, sell em, make em slaves, whatever.as long as they are out of our hair then it don't matter.i would rather they get shot on the flanks than a us soldier.if they get out of line while they are there, an american soldier can pop em and cancel the contract.
VulgarTheClown 01-27-2003, 02:27 AM good idea
rigid 01-27-2003, 02:48 AM i think it is.
sloppyenglish 01-27-2003, 07:03 AM Hmm I've read somewhere that people sentenced to death in US cost much more than a liftime prisoner will during his whole sentence/life.
Curly Howard 01-27-2003, 07:49 AM an eye for an eye and a life for a life.
I say keep them alive and make their lives miserable
But I am all for an Eye for an eye too

True Kimura...who are we to play God? but...who are they to play God?...I don't support tha capital punishment but If you were here, in Spain, you would feel (sometimes) this punishment like the best (ask the E.T.A. victims about it)....
"Extereme conditions demand extreme responses"- Brutal Truth
This is a touchy subject... I do not believe that giving someone a shot so they may fall asleep forever is punishment enough. These ****ers should pay hard on a daily basis. Let them become live ginea pigs and have labs test future drugs on them. I say the state do not become responsible for them but to have their family members be responsible (on a weekly basis) to bring food, clean clothes etc.
They should work in farms and any kind of income they generate like writing a book (as so many of them do) be taken away and be used for electricity, heat cost, charities, etc
HockeyFighter 01-27-2003, 09:48 AM Kill people for everything.
Murder = death
Auto theft = death
Shoplifting = death
Taking a penny from the tray = death
HockeyFighter 01-27-2003, 09:52 AM People should be allowed to cross the street wherever they want. It's just at their own risk and drivers must not feel obligated to slow down.
What about urinating in public
HockeyFighter 01-27-2003, 09:55 AM When you gotta go you gotta go.
Waylander 01-27-2003, 10:34 AM I say kill them, I am not worried about it, I just dont want to spend tax money on murderers for 20 years.
VulgarTheClown 01-27-2003, 10:36 AM I think China has the right idea as well.
There as soon as you are convicted they take you out behind the court house put a bullet in your head and send your family a bill for the bullet.
Fallout 01-27-2003, 10:45 AM Boy, it sure is lonely here on the left.
The state does not have a right to take a life. I am very much against the death penlty. The only two countrys that kill more people are China and Iran. Doesn't that scare anyone here?
Waylander 01-27-2003, 10:48 AM Nope, because they have a billion people, of course they are going to have more of everything, including death penalty convictions.

that is what i am saying waylander.
sloppyenglish, i'd like to know where you read that at.i find it hard to believe that putting someone to death is more expensive, or the same cost as housing an inmate on death row for years.
i guess it is pointless to talk about this subject anyway cause it is never gonna change.there will always be the majority of states that don't have capitol punishment and only a few that do.there are to many *****'s running around that are in high power places to influence these kinds of things.
Big_Papa 01-27-2003, 12:50 PM Kill 'em, I believe in it, why pay hard earned money to keep them alive if they're going to die in prison anyways. Just go ahead and kill them so I can save some damn money.
LukeDothSucketh 01-27-2003, 01:04 PM I like Rigid's idea. Use em like the scum they are.
rigid 01-27-2003, 01:05 PM the war thing would work out nicely right about now
LukeDothSucketh 01-27-2003, 01:14 PM Too bad they'd shoot us too.
rigid 01-27-2003, 01:15 PM not if they are doin the recon and the us troops are way the **** behind them.they can kill as many iraqi's as they can till the us troops get up there
