When I turned on the TV and changed through my 5 channels (still have antenna,.... yeah), I came across something that looked promising. IFL Battlegrounds tonight at 7 p.m. I thought to myself, "Kickass!" So around 7:05 p.m. I clicked over there..... If any of you tuned in you know what I'm going to say next. It was only advertisement and commercials for the next 15 minutes. Me, being a major UFC and overall MMA fan can usually stand long periods of nothing intelligent happening, knowing that if there was ever a time to piss and ****, now would be that time. The annoying WWE-like hype though, was really killing any enthusiasm I tried to maintain for the actual fights.

Then what really pissed me off, and gave me that annoying feeling that the show was going to be a

:gives: event, was the "someone will leave the ring tonight… on a stretcher." Bull**** that the random announcer dude kept saying.

...then after that, the fights actually happened.

OLD ASS FIGHTS! :wtf:

And thinking to myself, "hey, they got two hours for this ****, they're definitely going to show full fights." Boy, was I way the hell wrong. They edited fights like crazy, and showed no ground game at all,.... ****, come to think of it, they never once mentioned that there was any skill involved.

Two fights stood out in particular in my head. One dude with "JuiJitsu" tatted on his back verse some average striker. The JuiJitsu ***** didn't do **** for 2 rounds, no real takedown attempts or nothing, he just tried unsuccessfully to exchange fists with his opponent for the two rounds. Then finally his ***** ass got beat. Finally. This fight exhibited 0 real skill.
The next fight that stood out in my mind is some 264 pound piece of **** that did more perspiring then throwing intelligent punches. He had NO ground game period, not even Ground n' Pound technique! Finally this too ended. This exhibited -20 real skill. It was like watching the Pillsbury Boy trying to attack some kid, then giving up, and then sitting on the ***** and ****ting on him.

At that point, I turn the **** off and watched some old UFC and PRIDE fights on my computer. I hope that **** gets removed off the TV. What the hell is their purpose? Do they want to get MMA banned again? I hope the UFC completely destroys these hacks. And I really hope these hacks who put this **** together, get their children raped just like how they're raping MMA's fans for their money to watch ****.

So it sucked? I kinda liked the last IFL they had, I was waiting for the new one,but I forgot about it yesterday?

The problem is that it ruins the image that MMA has tried to build up as a legit sport and not a toughman competition.

the IFL fights themselves for the most part since they have been in exsistance have been of pretty good quality if you have watched the Fox Sports shows. I dont know what the hell they were thinking when they decided to promote this network show they way they did. bad mistake and the person in charge of TV promotions/production should be fired. I hope this wasnt Jay Larkin that did this

i agree....all these new promotions suck i personally think...i would think, they take a very professional aspect and quit it with all the gay lights, stupid anouncers and other bull****.....they should just show the fights and just show a lil clip of whos fighting ( like a lil highlight of his prior fights, wheres hes from, what he trains...etc...) thats all...no stupid dancers, music or bull****! that **** makes me laugh thou..lol

well thats the difference...they take ideas from tuf noobs with a join date of 2007 with all childish post and no knowledge....where as ive been watching mma since i was 10-12 and my post in the mma forums speak for themselves....i no i dont have the best knowledge...but i speak the truth all the times and i use facts to back everything i say!
