steroids are illegal in ufc and the ones that get cause get suspended. Since you're not trying to be funny, I guess I won't joke with you either. Real MMA fights in the US have a NO performance enhancing drug policy. So your whole everyone is high on riods is just off when it comes to US MMA. Hell, it's been getting approved by state commissions all over the US (they don't approve riods period).

As far as "guys rolling around"... it's really sad to STILL see someone refer to ground game as that. I'm sure you know absolutely nothing about Brazilian Jui-Jitsu. Cause if you did, you would know that it is truely the difference from someone loosing an arm/leg/or all the blood going to their head and passing out. You have valid points. Most of them do look like they're in shool yard brawl. In my opinion, makes it pretty entertaining. I always enjoyed watching schoolyard brawls.

MMA is a young sport, but does have good talents that have cleaner techniques. Most of the people that you mentioned are primarily wrestlers, who's just starting to learn how to box/strike, and like to "ground n pound", which does not really look exciting.

You should check out Anderson Silva, George St. Pierre, Mirko Filopovic and Andrei Arlovski. Technique wise they don't look bad. Arlovski really good stand-up, but has suspect chin. You might wanna watch Fedor Emelianenko. He's not great technician, but he gets the job done with pressure.

Most of the fights are not spectacular, but you could say the same with boxing. I do agree with you on Dana White, he's a douche, but most promoters are. He is not the owner by the way, its the Fertita bros. He's just the president.

You don't like the sports, that's fine. Its a free web(ain't it great). But I don't think the sport is gonna die anytime soon. New talents are coming from everywhere in the world, paychecks are getting a little better(measely compared to boxing), fighters are getting better, and getting more recognition. The sports is growing quick. Last night they actually showed the IFL on regular TV. Which is great, coz' I'm poor and don't have cable or satellite.

dino since you have eleven years of boxing training I suggest you try just one sparring match with an MMA-style fighter. You can't stand and punch like a boxer because these guys practice takedowns. You have to keep your legs back and be ready to move out of the way. This takes away your whole boxing-style offense. You just can't throw proper punches, and you can get leverage, when the other guy might dive at your knees or kick you in the head at any moment. It's not that the guys can't fight, it's just that they have to be too ready for too many possibilities for them to employ an aesthetically pleasing fighting style.

With that said I admit that I don't like MMA very much; but that different than claiming that the participants don't know how to fight.
