Oh, and to awnser youre question, the first fight i remember seeing was Duran getting beaten by Hearns.
My dad used to watch alot of fights in the eighties and i would watch them with him. He loved Hagler, and would talk alot about him.
Non of the girls i know like boxing, so here i am.
Its just a shame that certain people cant give me a chance before accusing me of ****.

Its just too violent and bloody. In general women arent into sports. Although the women in my family like tennis, but its much more of a "civilised" sport.

I'm really into what was labeled "post-punk"....which consist of the bands we've both named.

Others....Echo & The Bunnymen, Psychedelic Furs, New Order, Love & Rockets, Birthday party, Public Image Limited.

quality guys, not giving it the large but ive got nearly a thousand cd's so music is a big love of mine, good music is good music no matter what genre, thats what I think anyway, new order are quality, stone roses , mate they are top top band, the original oasis if you like.
The biggest gap I have in my music taste is probably the early nineties when I kinda got into house / drum n bass / hardcore so badly it was at the exclusion of everything else. (apart from madness whom Ive seen about 4-5 times but thats more cos its such a larf.) Last time we went (it was on business) and pulled up all decked out in parkers on the back of brand new lambretta scooters, ****ing ace! :cool: :cool:

I got into boxing courtesy of an ex-boyfriend years ago. Loved it every since; just have trouble during football season splitting the tv time between the two sports! (not to mention my kid's cartoons!!) :)

I love the doomsayers that come out from time to time with "the sport is over", "it's done" and "it's completely down the drain now never to return", etc.. I'm still here, along with millions more (check ppv sales) and no matter how dire it look's from time to time it's a damn good, exciting sport that has had more than it's fair share of knocks and it's not going anywhere.

They on the top of their game. They OK. The mid level and no name fighters on the mid level aren't making ***** though. Boxing will always be around. But 470,000 PPV buys for Tito Mayorga is great relative to boxing. But to every other sport who have network TV, 470,000 is absolutely ****ty

You have to keep in mind that the Tito -Mayorga card had competition only the weekend before. Poor ratings cause so many refuse to pay two ppv's in two weeks. ;)
