The following is an excerpt from an interview with Tito Ortiz, conducted by MMAToday.com:

MMAToday: What can we expect from you in 2007?
Tito Ortiz: More movies? My heart is really in fighting right now and I'm in fighting mode. I want to keep going with Punishment Athletics. I'm a business man then a fighter and then actor man but fighter first and foremost now. My next fight is in May against Keith Jardine.

MMAToday: Where do you see yourself in the UFC title picture at Light Heavyweight?
Tito Ortiz: I'm in the top 3. I will fight any of them. I fought Liddell and made some mistakes but that won't happen again. He has been dominant and done what he has done, so have I and I will do it again.

MMAToday: What motivates you to continue fighting and training after an almost 10 year professional career of fighting?
Tito Ortiz: My fans and the drive to be the best. It's a mixture of both.

MMAToday: Who are your favorite fighters to watch?
Tito Ortiz: GSP #1. He has a hard work ethic and is very exciting, what he did to Matt Hughes was impressive. Brandon Vera is exciting and hits hard, he's a good wrestler and has good jiu-jitsu.

MMAToday: Are there any fighters you want to fight that you haven't had a chance to yet?
Tito Ortiz: Shogun Rua would be an awesome fight, I'd love to fight him, Wanderlei just lost and I'd love to fight him again. Dan Henderson would be great. I will fight anyone and make it exciting for the fans. I just want to keep people buying pay per views and keep the fans entertained. Me and Chuck did it right and broke records for pay per view buys.

i think tito will win, Jardine is a good fighter, really good work ethic, but i think tito still has alot left to offer and should beat jardine

Tito has been in the game longer but Jardine has this wierd stand up striking game, he dont bob n weeve...jus stands there really and throws people off and has a very good chin. Jardine by tko, has better stand up than tito...Jardine did something tito couldnt and that was knock out forrest griffin. That may not mean jardine will win but its a accomplishment tito couldnt do.

i see tito winning by tko in the 3rd....the dude is a beast and he will NOT lose, you could bet ur last 2 pennies he isnt going to take this fight easy and hes comming in 110%....just think about it, he lost his last fight and he hates losing very much....hes got jenna on the side, and some fame left over due to everything so if he loses to ****ing keith jardine, he will lose it all ( you watch) girlfriend, fame, respect, fans...everything! tito will not and can not lose

I'm a Tito fan. I hope the best for him. I'd love to see the fights he would like to fight.

I hope Jardine wins, if only because Dean has a decision victory over my man Mike Whitehead, who I use to train with in a small local gym (hes from my town and went to my college, and i still see him at the bar and **** occasionally when hes in town). So if Jardine crushes tito i guess that maybe Mike's stock raises just a little.

But if you look at their common opponent in Forrest Griffin, Keith had a much better result, although I know styles make fights and all, which is especially true in MMA much more so than in boxing so i'm not sure how much that is worth.

If I was a betting man, I'd put money on Ortiz. But not a whole lot. Tito hasn't been that impressive for a long time now. Take away his 3 wins over Ken Shamrock, and you've got questionable decision wins over Griffin and Belfort, a soild decision win over a green Cote (even though Cote rocked him), 2 KO losses to Liddell and a dominating decision loss to Couture. Maybe you've gotta go back to the Matyushenko fight or even the Sinosic fight to see a real dominant Ortiz over somebody who wasn't well past his prime (Shamrock).

Still though, i'm going with Ortiz by decision on this one. Although I'd love to see Jardine put a few dents in Tito's nogin.

I say Tito will win in round 2.

After this, I wanna see Rashad tested against Tito. And, Tito vs. Babalu down the line.

Dont ya think Renato would want a easier fight after gettin knocked out by lambert?

He may need a tune up fight. But I wanna see Babalu and Tito w/ in the next few years.

babalu was over-rated in my honest opinion...his new training ways sucked...he lost his hunger and is personally a shell of his former self!

a battle of two wrestlers here. Questions is can Tito get the GnP working enough to take out Evans?

Nodogoshi

I think I like Evan's chances in this one, though it should be a pretty tough fight if the real tito shows up.

I actually think Jardine will upset Tito here. The Dean of Means last performance against Griffin was impressive. He has power and has decent boxing skills. Should be an entertaining fight if Jardine can keep it on it's feet.

i think if tito under estimates any of them, he loses....tito needs to be 100%

a 100% tito is top 5 in ufc ( not the entire world)

damn I was looking forward to Kieth Jardine fighting tito, but he fought a big named fighter already and "FINALLY" Rashad gets to fight a real fighter who knows what he is doing, could be his 1st loss here and against a real opponent.
