Sullivan knew how to feint, that's for sure. The first time he feints to the head and then he feints body-head. He catches Corbett off guard there. Wonder how prime Sullivan vs Corbett would go.

The feint was a big part of the game in those days. With smaller gloves and longer fights you wanted to make every punch count and ensure that it landed. Fighters today waste too much energy IMO.

But the reason they decided to put their differences aside was because of the Johnson-Jeffries fight. Their racism is what made them turn their anger away from each other and direct it at Johnson.
