Signed it. Cloughie is still miles better than Paisley.
Paisley took over from Shankley who was a legend. He took over a good side and a big club.
Clough took over ****e Derby side and made them league champs, should have also won european cup if hadnt been cheated by the Itis.
Also took over rubbish second div Forest side and made them Best team in Europe. Dont Forget our League title, 2 European Cups ( beating lpool en route) and two league were won when Liverpool had their best ever team
Forest 79/80 is the best team ever from England. Liverpool 79/80 second best team ever from England. Go on admit it.

Naa, I'm not having that :D
Paisley took a team that was aging and past their best, brought in a whole new generation of football icons, and still brought success to Anfield.
He also took the burden of the pressure of expectation and revelled in it. This is his honours list as Liverpool manager:
1975-76 - League Champions, UEFA Cup
1976-77 - League Champions, European Cup, FA Cup finalists
1977-78 - European Cup, European Super Cup, League Cup finalists
1978-79 - League Champions
1979-80 - League Champions
1980-81 - European Cup, League Cup
1981-82 - League Champions, League Cup
1982-83 - League Champions, League Cup
He amassed a total of 19 trophies in 9 years as Liverpool boss.
This was a man that few skeptics thought would be forever in Bill Shankly's shadow. Oh how they were wrong.
The man was a phenomenon and there are people know who think that he was behind a lot of Shankly's success, as he was the assistant manager during Shankly's reign. There is no-one equal to him, ever.
"There was only one Bob Paisley and he was the greatest of them all," says Dalglish. "He went through the card in football. He played for Liverpool, he treated the players, he coached them, he managed them and then he became a director."
Oh, and Forest aren't the greatest British side ever either. That award goes to Liverpool during Kenny Dalglish' reign as player/manager, when we beat you guys 5-0 in 1988

Impresive record. But My point is the two year gap where we won european cup. didnt we win league cup aswell. Who did we beat. Best team ever, plus longest unbeaten record till recently.
Shilton let in 10 goals all season, You have to say that is impresive.

Clough, was a great manager, no doubt. Lets not forget he was a great player and goal scorer as well as a manager which is unusual.
He should have been England Manager but the FA were scared of him, whats more impressive is that he achieved the success with Forest with a average side (albeit the odd top player, Francis, Birtles and Robertson etc) but he made them organised, hardworking and full of passion. I would certainly have Clough in the top five of Managers in England off all time but behind Paisley, Ferguson, Shankley and Wenger.
He was a great man though, his record was tarnished in later years and he did not win domestically enough for me to be any higher up the list!
If you were to start a petition for him to have a posthumous knighthood, I would sign it, although I think Cloughy wouldn't want it!

Do you honestly think any of these managers would have the ability to take a ****e 2nd division side and make them Kings of Europe.
Ferguson Has only one Euro cup with biggest club in the world
Wenger will never win Euro Cup.
Clough would have made England Great.
OK Clough may have not been the best but he was in the top 1.

Same to you, and it's looking likely Good Ol' Bob will get his knighthood with even MP's rallying behind him.

Haha I'll give him second place behind Paisley and that's being generoud because of what Shankly did for us.
