Who you got???

This is a major step up for Gammer considering he's been fighting the likes of Michael Steeds...but i guess it all depends which Danny Williams turns up. Will he try to box Gammer, or just come in throwing big rights and try to end the fight quickly (and return to his backstage rider)

Danny Williams will knock seven shades of **** out of him. But then then again thats what I said about Audley vs Sprott and look what happened. Who are you backing Rooq? I remember you was one of the only people who predicted Sprott to win.

I am not sure williams may be completley shot now, but i hope he can beat gammer.

i'm backing danny. i've only really seen gammer a couple of times and i just think that even if danny isn't having a great night he can win. plus he's had more than a couple of weeks to prepare for this fight and knows its his last chance so i'm expecting danny to come out bangin!

danny by ko.

Might not be the most entertaing fight this year but i think Danny will ko Gammer quite easily, lets just hope they can both get into some sort of shape.

i think gammer will try to box (a la skelton in his rematch with danny).

mix that in with dannys lack of entheusiasm

certainly wont be nice to watch

Apparantly, Danny had weighed in at 16st and 4 lbs which is 228lbs. I find it difficult to believe that Danny has lost over 39lbs since his last fight (where he weighed in at 267lbs) in just almost 3 months. I suspect it might be a typo though.

Still, even if Danny is 19st and 4lbs (which I think is accurate) - 270lbs - I think he'll still beat Gammer.

Here is the weigh-in report/article from the BBC.

http://news.bbc.co.uk/sport1/hi/boxing/6401525.stm

Sounds a little contradictory and inaccurate here though;

"That is a full four stones lighter than when he met Matt Skelton last July, and five pounds less than for a career-best win over Mike Tyson in the USA in 2004"

(a) Against Skelton he was 288lbs. Now if Danny was over 4stone lighter (1 stone = 14lbs), that would make Danny some 56lbs+ lighter than last time out. Fair enough, I'm with the article so far.

(b) However, it then goes on to say "....[which is] 5lbs less than against Tyson"

- Danny weighed in at 265lbs against Tyson so 5lbs lighter would make him 260lbs. So how is 260lbs the same as 228lbs (a full 32lb difference)? Obviously there has been a misprint or some confusion somewhere.

Still, Danny KO Gammer.

i did see a picture of williams and gammer in the daily star today and danny did look in good shape, while gammer looked a bit fleshy.

all the boxing publications i have come across both on-line and on paper, predict gammer to win by decision....i think it'll come down to who wants it more, and seeing as williams must have been training like a mf for the last few months i'm hoping he's got some fire back and is well up for this fight.

Williams has lost 4 stone. Dannys shorts looked ridiculously big when he was 20 stone. He must now have P4P Biggest Shorts in Boxing by a country mile.

Anyone have a video of this fight? Cant believe no-one put it on Youtube yet, esp given the interest levels shown.
