my pick is george foreman to win by a knockout

could be a close, but I give Liston the edge in having better technical skills. So, I think Sonny wins by UD. Foreman has a very good chance though, I wouldn't count him out just yet.

Liston is very overrated, all he did was swing wildly, Foreman did to, so this a bad fight. but if i had to choose i ould say that Foreman by 2nd round KO.

If we're talking a Foreman from the 1970's, remember, he didn't really know who he was. Why is this important? Because boxing is 90% mental. Liston was the king of intimidation and mind games. Only Ali outdid him; and Foreman didnt realy have an identity until his comeback in 1987. Liston would psychologically own George, primarily because Foreman idolized Liston early in his career.....and this isn't even going into the technical superiority of Liston over Foreman. Yes, Foreman was better technically than many give him credit for; but he wasn't as good as Liston from a boxing stand-point, even though I think he hit harder. Also, Liston showed a tremendous ability to take a punch throughout his career and Foreman was only above average as witnessed by the Lyle fight.; and while the Lyle fight did show Foreman's heart, I think it's fair to say Liston would have beaten Lyle while Foreman damn near got kayoed by him.

Liston's jab would have busted George up and his pressure might have actually had George in boxer mode, which he was not nearly as effective at....if anyone could cause George to suffer a panic attack akin to the one Wladimir Klitscko practically suffered against Lamon Brewster, it was Charles "Sonny" Liston. No way do I see George winning this one.

Liston by 9th round TKO....if not sooner.
