I haven't worked out in over 3 months, so I'm gonna put my bench press numbers up as they progress. Bzob and prime cut, I wanna see your weak ass numbers too.

Bench is my weakest area so I'm not telling.

My weigh floats from about 180-190. I had stopped working out in October to play softball, but just started back this week. My highest max was 340, about a year ago. My reps Tuesday were
10-135
8-205
6-225
4-245
2-275
then i burn out with 225, i only managed 4 tuesday night but usually i push about 10 at the end of my workout.

Thanks bzob, I hate to see what I am doing now, but I will get back into the swing of things shortly. I am on a lazy hiatus, I think I have afforded myself one tho.

Waylander, why the hell didn't you go the extra mile and do 315 (3 plates on each side)? How did you get a 310 combo anyway? 4 45s, 2 35s, 2 5's, and 2 21/2s = 310. Did you do it that way?

315 would be lighter anyway. When you have all those amller weights further out horizonally it makes it harder to lift. If you use the 100 pound plates they feel almost as light as 225 for the same reason.

Bench don't really mean that much anyways. But I only have a max of 250.

My bench is weak for my weight, and it doesnt take a lot of strength to K.O. someone.

I found out about 2 weeks ago.

The more weight you press, the less you feel the small increments. for example, a jump from 315 to 335 feels like much less of a jump than 135 to 155. It's like a fat man gaining 20 lbs, you wouldn't notice it nearly as much as on a skinny man gaining the same weight.

max bench is 325 x 4 reps. This was before I got married. I am working back up to my max.

last I did was about 280-300? for one rep... that was last week. Tomorrow is bench day for me :)

SeldomTap holds the highest bench here... last I heard he was pushing over 400....

well my best 1RM was 415 - that made my shoulder poop out. I was at 340 lbs (315 now) ran a blazing 5.5 40 yard dash( haha im probly a hella lot slower now)

Its been about a year now from the last time I lifted in a real program. Bout 6 months ago, Just to see what i had left, i threw up 315 easy. So im not sure what i can get now.

I am starting up a routine soon, so i will keep you all posted.

hahahaha........ I am a weak mother****er...... My max was about 230 a couple of months ago but I had to lose some weight for my fights (I fight at under 170lbs)... I haven't maxed out since then but I reckon my max is at about 190-200 atm.... I can press 170lbs about 6-8 reps.

Recently did 435 for 4 reps which was a happy day. Have trouble finding regular training partners cause of shift work so don't get to lift as heavy as I would like all the time. I normally rep in the 320 - 350 range pretty comfortably...but want to avoid being the wanker at the gym with the bar stuck on him and needing four people to drag it off too often!

The Jake

Today I did 250 (265 if you count the bar). Taking it easy... I don't want to do like 1RPM every week. Churned out about as many as I could.... about 7 reps (with negatives) first set, then 4 on the second. I was supersetting this with bent over v-bar rows (200kg) so I suspect this is nowhere near what I could normally do.

Give me another 3-4 weeks, I feel quite confident I could rep 300 for ages....

I'm trying to build my weakest areas.... bench is down lots so I'm working on that but my weakest links are forearms and biceps. So I'm trying to work on those the most.

Did 3 sets of 10 dips and ended it with 1 more set of 8 with my bodyweight of 190. I'm not hitting the bench yet, but in 3 days I will do some light sets of bench.
