Ok me and my buddys were argueing about who has the best ground game in MMA.
By ground game i mean, subs, sub def, control ect.
For simplictys sake lets divide the sport into the weight class. HW MW and LW
Take your pics
HW - Nog - I think hes the Best in the world bar-none.
MW - Sakuraba
LW - I like Serra, but i dont know enough about the weight class to make a judgement.
Lets see what u guys think.

Nogueira was submitted by Ricco in ADCC (knee bar). Nog is the best grappler in MMA. In a sub match he is not the best.
I understand that some people are gonna call me crazy, but is a whole different ballgame to grapple than to compete under MMA rules(adding punches and knees changes the whole gameplan).
In MMA yes Nogueira is the best heavyweight.
Sakuraba or Busta in MW
LW...mmm..tough one...Rumina Sato submitted Rodriguez...
I think Royler Gracie is the man in Abu Dhabi.
But the best LW on the ground is probably...maybe Serra
the best welterweight on the ground is only one...Carlos Newton.

Mr. B is spot on about the differences between sub grappling and MMA...Nog is awesome on the ground in Hwy...he does things no other heavy tries and makes it look easy (triangle/arm bar on Coleman as an example)
Busta is pretty awesome at MW
Newton also is head and shoulders above as a ground technician at welterweight

Of course Newton! hes great.
If we were to base this all on control i have to say Hughes is the best for control.

Dificult question ... Mino, Ricco, Busta, Sakuraba, Newton, Sudo, Serra, BJPenn, Royler, Jean Jacques, Sato, Sperry, Paulão ...
If you include ground control it will increase the issue with the stallers: Coleman, Arona, Tito, Hughes, Randleman and Kerr ...
Not including the BJJ expert ... Pe de Pano, De La Riva, Fabio Gurgel, Margarida ...
