Amazingly, Rose had only one win before this, but managed to stop Butterbean with hard right hands. Although Butterbean was never a legitimate contenter, this still shows that anything is possible in the heavyweight division, and that sometimes someone will raise their game for one fight only.

Even a 1-6 real boxer is better than any toughman, 300+ pounds or not.

Butter "Two-Ton Galento's lost grandchild" Bean....I'm so glad that joke got derailed before he was hyped into a title shot.

That was a serious insult to Galento my friend, who was a legitimate contender and would have a good chance at having a belt around his gut if he fought today.

The same could never be said for Butterbean.

My trainer was in Mitch's corner for this fight.

Didn't Galento do a number on Tommy Farr or Lou Nova. He was much more talented than Butterbean ever dreamed of.

He wasn't necessarily talented. He just had a granite chin and hit like a ton of bricks, that's all. that will get you somewhere, further than Butterbean, that's for sure.

Hitting hard and having a granite chin are talents Butterfly.

I made a small mistake, this was his last win.
