this won't be that easy of a fight for Toney as every one thinks (might even supriseToney at times). 1) long layoff due to serious injury. 2) Rydell is actually a pretty decent fighter.

I also expect a tougher fight than people think. Booker can fight and has talent, but his biggest problem is his lazyness.

If Toney doesn't KO Booker or win a vast majority of the rounds in a very lopsided UD, Toney's chances of getting a HW title shot with VK are going to be shot. Rydell Booker is horrible. He is the 74th ranked heavyweight according to Boxrec. He has fought no one, is yet another cruiserweight, and in his most recent fight he SD'd Tipton Walker who was 13-7 at the time but is now 13-9 after having lost to Booker and getting TKO'd by Hoffman in the 7th.

I have yet to see Booker fight so I don't know what he brings to the table. Does the guy have any power or handspeed? It is never a good sign when you are an undefeated fighter who is a tune up bout...

I cannot wait for this fight, i am curious to see how well Toney has recovered from his injury and layoff. Toney says he knows nothing about him, he even says he hasn't watched any fights of his. I personally haven't heard of Rydel Booker before, could Toney be underestimating him? I read that Rydel used to be a crusierweight or something so he isn't a natural heavyweight just like Toney.

i am predicting it a shocking KO loss for toney that will stop his momentum :)

I've been waiting for this fight, and I'm not just saying because I can't afford PPV (poor me, lol), but also because I want to see if Toney really is the best contender out there. But then again, his win over Booker won't really prove a lot IMO. And also, is it just me, or those Best Damn Sport Show, Period guys don't know a lot about boxing?

This fight could be dangorus for Toney, from what i've read of Booker he is a pretty good propect and may very well give Toney all he can handle. I'll be watching.

Toney's been training very hard, I'd still say points victory for Toney though.

I'm offically pissed off, here Fox Sports is showing the Braves/Reds game insead of the fight. I guess they will re air the fight at a later time, but I like to watch boxing live. :mad:

Anytime Toney is on the tv, I'm watching. I think it is awesome that Toney is fighting on a cable network like Fox Sports Net. This should be great exposure for the sport.

How do you barely beat someone as bad as Tipton Walker and have talent.

I have digital cable but I have never seen BDSS on any of my channels. I have Fox Sports World but not Fox Sports Net. Too many channels to keep up with. I would like to see Toney fight so I can decide what round I think Vitali will knock him out in.

JT is extraordinarly brash and trashy in his boxing persona, but the kind of vitriol he spews is great for ratings. He's also old school and extremely fun to watch (provided he is in half decent shape).

A manager who makes his undefeated fighter go up against a former- marquee opponent who has been, likewise, undefeated in the course of his come back...? In a tune up fight for the former star? If he knows something special, he's the most astute manager seen in decades and should be put on the fast lane to Canastota. If he doesn't, well, he doesn't know much else and should be made to crawl into that place where the sun doesn't shine!Who is he, anyway?
